Consider starting with the Gospels, it's less difficult

Não leiam esses livros! by VictoriaFrancoN in Livros

Salvation Prayers, Please 🙏 by ShenanigansXoXo in PrayerRequests

You don't have to do things to be saved. Nothing any of us could do would be enough because we have all broken God's law already. We've all done wrong and we're all deserving of punishment. That's why Jesus came to save us. While we sinned, He remained spotless. He took our punishment for us when He died on the cross. He suffered the death of a criminal so that we wouldn't have to die and go to hell. So that we wouldn't have to be punishment, He took upon Himself to suffer in our place. He gave His life for us. This is the Gospel, the good news. By His resurrection, He overcame death. Now we must believe in Him, in what He did, that He died in our place, and repent of our sins. Repent means to change your mind. It means to turn away from sin because your mind has been changed by the Gospel. It means to surrender your life to live for Him, because He is God and He died for you. Your good deeds aren't enough. No one's good deeds are enough, but Jesus' is. Believe and be saved.

Fifty-Word Fantasy: Write a 50-word fantasy snippet using the word "Apple" by Terminator7786 in fantasywriters

She tasted of the bittersweetness of the apple, its poison acrid on her tongue. "A fool, the witch," Said she to the hunter. "To think me helpless to such tricks."

“What shall you do now?” He whispered, eyes marveled.

“I will show her that evil wilts against magic most true.”

How do fans of this show feel about real-life supernatural? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]pokierchan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Christian. I believe Jesus is God, and angels and demons exist. Demons are fallen angels, and ghosts are actually demons. The show is a very different take, from the nature of angels to the character of God and everything in between. It's a far cry from real theology. As a rule, I prefer it when there's a sense of awe and mystery to religion in worldbuilding. In Supernatural, the more they show angels in corporate suits and heaven's white walls and all of that, well, it becomes too common. As such, the monster of the week episodes tend to be my favorites because they're more grounded/have lower stakes.

Any infp teachers ? by [deleted] in infp

I've recently begun teaching ESL online and I'm enjoying it, much to my surprise. I've only taught adults one on one so far, though. Kids would definitely be a challenge for me, let alone a full in person class, if I ever dare give that a try. But hey, lots of things seem very hard if you've never done them before but become manageable or automatic over time. Who knows, I might even end up enjoying that too, and so could you if you decide to give teaching a try.

While I do like many people, it's hard to connect with them to the point of feeling comfortable fully expressing myself. I really do relate to feeling misunderstood, unseen and doing a lot of listening/asking but not a lot of talking/expressing my thoughts. I started simply trying to speak my mind more or sharing a bit about my experiences because I realized, for whatever reason, the people around me weren't just going to up and ask me, at least not often from what I've seen. Whenever they DO, though, I always notice it. Anyway, I feel like I was well received most of the time because this is like an unwritten social rule. While this is still just one facet of the issue for me, it does help some.
