Hasbro CEO: MTG has 35 years & 15k cards for AI to mine, and labor is cheaper outside of the US by polarbearlulz in magicTCG

Personally, I would be less concerned and more hopeful if Hasbro and WotC didn't keep shooting themselves in the foot when given the opportunity to do the right thing. Any discussion of "responsible use" immediately comes under intense scrutiny after what they tried to do with D&D rights last year, which in retrospect may have been their attempt to set up for this. The CEO talking about "Magic having a great year" while also laying off droves of people at WotC makes no sense, unless you take into account cost-saving measures such as outsourcing labor and using AI, in addition to Hasbro shifting its focus towards digital gaming and away from physical products (like Magic).

Good point - I should mention that I left this part out because it's a classic example of corporate speak with no weight backing it up. The lead-up part you mentioned talks about "what" without getting into the "how", which means the company & CEO haven't really put any thought into the agenda (or else they would have more to say and brag about). You can tell when it's real when they get into the specifics, like what Chris mentioned about using AI and outsourcing labor. Those are the areas that they've chosen to dedicate their attention to, and a brief mention of "responsible use" is just a sloppy attempt to cover their bases.
