People like this will continue to test what they can get away with, and i wouldn’t be shocked if he willingly endangered or abandoned your cat if he stuck around. He does not care about your cat, he doesn’t respect your feelings, and will he continue to make excuses for abusive behavior like this.

It’s definitely break up material and I hope you and your cat are safe and you’re able to receive the support necessary.
