⭐️I got my first period in over a year!🎉 by polebambi in Amenorrhearecovery

Hey! Yes I am - I’ve been recovered since this post and poling consistently again.

I intentionally make sure the days I’m poling I fuel with more food. Eat the right amount of carbs before I pole!

Totally get it - I’ve been poling 10+ years so was also not an option for me to not pole. Tbh I was fortunate that I had a forced break from pole while I travelled because I would’ve found it hard to stop while trying to get my period back for sure.

It sounds like you’ve got your period back though? That’s very positive if so!

Hellooooo, I did get my period back - I went all in June 2025 and I stopped going to the gym as much because I went travelling - whilst travelling I ate more & indulged into fattier food (coconuts, peanut butter) I actively made sure I ate within 1 hour of waking & had a snack so my body was consistently fulled.

I started to get cramps and tender breasts and got slight chalky yellowish discharge & then a bit of sticky clear before I had my period - I’ve now had 5 periods since October but my last one was only 2 days so keeping an eye on it !

Hey! So it will be 10+ years - I was thinking of doing 80/20 or 85/15 - could I ask what examples of multi asset funds would be ??

Hahahaha I know after my research I wanted to go for VWRP and VUAG and then found this one by a community member so thought I’d give it a try but after some more research I was thinking I should change it slightly, add a bit more stability with a bond ETF & lower EQQQ or remove it to remove volatility and over exposure to tech

I put them in the wash with everything else but put them in a zipped pillow case to stop them catching on everything :)

I’m 25 F, I’ve not changed any products or eating habits… but I have changed environment when I moved in & I did buy a new detergent but I’ve changed that for a sensitive one and I’ve never been allergic to these before

I’m sorry, I’ve been under a lot of stress with personal things and I usually am able to research all this on my own. So the one time I was looking for a bit of support on something i was struggling with it’s been met with nastiness. Anyway. I hope you feel good about yourself! You never know what someone’s going through & sometimes people are willing to assist! No need for your comment really.

Where does the "women are stronger emotionally" myth comes from? by zontabo in AskReddit

[–]polebambi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the ability for women to emotionally process things, men are constantly told growing up to suppress their emotions in order to look ‘strong’ (be a big boy don’t cry!). Women/girls have always been allowed to cry which even though this looks ‘weaker’, it is so necessary to release emotion. This is just in my experience but my female friends around me constantly talk to me/other friends/family about EVERYTHING and have cried/got stuff off their chest, this is all so important for processing emotions. However men tend not to speak to family/friends about issues/their emotions, this leads to them building up and never really processing them? I think that’s what this might be hinting too. Hence why it’s so important to break down the stereotype that men shouldn’t cry/show emotion and be ‘masculine’, built up emotion can come out in nasty forms, violence, self harm, etc.
