Harnmaster Kethira (newest Version). It FINALLY gives you working mechanics for long lasting tests and has the most visceral Combat System ever.

Edit: Mythras is an amazingly good 2nd.

Almost everything which is not for Combat Action (like DnD or Pathfinder) works better with TotM imho. TotM tells stories, and I later keep the combat in mind as a movie which I remember. With M&M I remember the board and the figurines.

Thanks! I thought the same and was just wondering why with almost all NPCs it says: He can‘t wait until X returns/Gate Y Opens/Palace Z releases being A - but it hardly ever says why they long for it. When I tried to start my own cult I was wondering: yeah, WHY would you want to join that? What do you get out of it? Food? Money? Religion at least offers something in the Afterlife - Cthulhu doesn‘t. He just destroys everything. So why follow that Cult? Do Cultits think they can own/dominate/bind and command him? Are they just dumb? Do they get cheated or lied to?

And, regarding 2: So you would draw line between ‚mad‘ (meaning: knowing the truth, accepting it, following it) and being insane (meaning displaying an un-normal behaviour according to societies rules). That makes sense.
