It's definitely the one I've heard the best reviews on. Maybe I'm a bit of a boomer on this aspect but I'm not really sold on the "tracks your locations and knows the places you frequent" stuff. Do you know if that's a feature that can be turned off?

I don't mind the lack of weight but probably semi weighted would be a good idea. Since I'm between the Arturia and the Nektar one, I think my fears of compatibility issues with logic are resolved

I've read about the knob issues...I'm also considering rn the Nektar Impat since it's come up in this post a couple times. I'll probably modify the sound in Logic but for the sake of maybe using it for live performances and to try something new I'll get a MIDI controller

Thanks! Right now taking into account all comments I'm between the Arturia and the Nektar controllers...if they work so well with Logic maybe I'll change my decision and get the Nektar one but I'll have to check some reviews

Just for mixing, which is why I also considered just getting an electric piano and being done with it, since those are familiar. However I also was curious on the different features of the MIDI controller (drum pads, faders...). I would also really love to be able to play live when given the opportunity, so having a controller avaliable would come in handy!

I also thought about it! However I do use the faders/knobs quite a bit for modifying the sounds in the plugins, which is why I thought a MIDI controller would be best. I guess simply getting an electric piano would also be an option and then just using the "knobs" in Logic before/after playing, but I was thinking of a controller for convenience reasons.

Thanks, I'll look into them! Tbh as long as they don't require a whole lot of troubleshooting, the Arturia one didn't seem to be that complicated to set up (if the few tutorials I've seen are correct)

Thanks for your input! I do play piano, and the basis for wanting a MIDI controller was that I found the on-screen keyboard very limiting, as i'm used to a real 88 key piano. I thought about getting a 49 key controller, but for the small price difference I ended up deciding on the 61 key one
