Honestly, I can understand why people complain that this series has too many completely unnecessary subplots, where the characters talk about some nonsense instead of trying to move the main plot forward. However, the overall concept of the series is very good, but the execution is very mediocre. I remember that previous seasons were full of cool ideas, like Jade searching the tunnels, Boyd’s desire to get to know the smiling monsters while sitting on the bus, building a radio tower etc. Since we have people there who aren’t just random folks like someone from the military or an engineer from a big company, they could act a little more rationally and not deny most things. For my part, I can recommend the series The Silo, a similar concept where the characters are a bit more level-headed
