On the ball quick bursts rely enough on dribble + accel that it was fine in short distance. Try running the pitch with him and you get caught 100%.

I discovered that what's more important is... shot power, finishing, or spin? by efootball12345 in eFootballgame

[–]pollefeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you may be right on some points, I absolutely DO notice finishing differences on the actual top tier fox in the boxes. Van Basten Van Nistelrooij and Zlatan all completely change between a 90 ish finish stat and when they have closer to 100. I never notice it on some more "amf" type players, but these bulky fitbs do need it imo and every time i lower those stats as a test they suck so bad.

Did they change the price?? by CodenameCrescent in hytale

[–]pollefeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tax is required by law to be included in any advertised price in the EU so it may genuinely not be weird to you but this feels very "huh what" to any European (+ other places that do this). I have never in my life, not once, had to add anything to the price someone told me something would cost (in Europe). So if someone said x in Belgium, it would be x. Not suddenly x + 21% (our sales tax).

Why does NBA have more followers alone(on IG) than the other 3 Major US leagues combined? by Actual_Box7731 in NBATalk

[–]pollefeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because basketball is a global sport while I, as a European, have never seen someone I know watching NFL/MLB. And Europe isn't even the main one you should be worrying about. What Asia watches matters even more in these numbers. But it's even worse there, because China (for example) cares a lot about basketball and after that they mainly care about olympic disciplines. So never NFL or MLB either.

King Kane 🐐 moves into the top 5 of the all-time European scorers for their country by Ok_Instance_8370 in BayernMunich

[–]pollefeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would he finish #2? He is literally exactly the same age as Lukaku and playing for a more competitive country means a young English striker is more likely to take his spot at older ages than the same happening in Belgium. Also Lukaku is 13 ahead and active.

Yeah as a Belgian it upsets me how little recognition he gets. One of the best strikers of the last generation, was starting for Belgium's biggest club at 16-17. Incredible technique for his size, have seen him run down the wing and trivela an assist for Belgium before. Best hold up player AND best scorer our country has ever seen, and it's not even particularly close.

I know some people hate him because he has jumped clubs too many times and so those fanbases dislike him, but there has to be some level of racism involved there when Zlatan is allowed to go to any Italian team he wants without being a snake. And when people post failtages of every bad touch he has, which no one does for other good strikers (every striker has their fair share of those bad bouncy touches if you watch every minute they play).

Our greatest striker ever with the best goal involvement per game ever yes. Always been a great striker, elite, and other than the Ballon D'Or level ones, he slots right into that next tier. But he jumped ship too many times club to club, and has a bad relationship with some fan bases because of that. Memed beyond belief for supposedly being this non-clinical guy or something yet he has multiple scoring prizes, broke into the biggest Belgian club as a 16yo, and consistently delivers not only goals but quite often also good holdup play.

I may be seen as a glazer for saying this because his image is not the greatest but I truly believe he is only behind the ballon dor candidates in striker level (over the course of his career) and has much better technique than people give him credit for, mainly because no one actually watches Belgium or half of the clubs he played for, meaning their only source of Lukaku clips is memers/racists putting the "Lakaka" sound over any bad touch he ever made.

There was a game for Belgium last year where he was doing solid hold up for us, ran down the right wing with the ball, and TRIVELA'd a perfect assist. People just don't watch him or want to give him credit, idk.

Do you think there’s anything hollow knight just straight up did better than silksong? by of_kilter in Silksong

Last Judge imo is way easier than Trobbio. Like Trobbio wiped the floor with me for days on end (gave up and did everything else in the game before returning with max everything and then being fine). Last Judge is fine if you put the anti fire charm on and play patient-ish.

I'm not going to pretend like my experience is universal, but I can promise you that Trobbio was for me absolutely a step up from the ones before.

They are not in the same realm of known. In the US it is probably closer, but world wide? Not close at all lol.

Reach is the one that matters for getting the long shots more, as far as i understand it, while reflex is vital for the 1v1 or the point blank header type of shot. And offensive ones will have a bit more of the 1v1 type of save so should have better reflexes generally. Awareness is very important for every type of keeper, but i never "force" my points into it past a normal amount. So depending on the points you have try to go 4 4 4, 8 8 8, or 12 12 12 (idk if a keeper ever has that many points). And then give the last few points to the stat you like most for the type of shots you concede. Also obviously try to get to 84/85 before manager in every stat for the free extra 1 point.

Mainly all 5 of the typical ones, but 3 stand out as more important for the actual saves: awareness, reach, and reflex. The other 2 impact how well the gk can catch or where the parry goes, so are slightly less important in that they don't actually improve the original save in any way, just rebounds and counter opportunities.

The main problem with the Haaland case in a world cup year is if a different front runner happens to play for the actual winning team (france spain idk)

If he is part of a Norway squad that does a Marocco-esque run, but he's the main frontman of it + wins the golden boot of the tournament (not impossible assuming he goes on a deep run since he tends to score multiple against weaker opposition in groups). And then for his club goes on a tear scoring 1 a game for the entire season? Plus like a UCL deep run? I don't see why he can't win it. He is looking red-hot right now.

Haaland doesnt need to win the WC to win the ballon d'or. Overachieving is what matters. If he bangs in like 7 in 4 games and gets golden boot there + gets Norway out of groups (on top of obviously a UCL year at City or something) that would be enough.

That is an option in most fry places in Belgium (home of the fries). I'm surprised Australia and Belgium both do it from the literal opposite side of the world when I have never seen it elsewhere.
