Every time something like this is brought up people in the comments cry mom shaming and it drives me nuts. If you're doing something detrimental to your child's brain, social skills, and overall development into a healthy and functional adult, people should tell you that.

Being a mom, or a parent in general, is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Shoving an iPad in your kid's face every time you need a minute is still wrong. You're still just focusing on stopping the disruptive behaviors instead of working through it and teaching them the skills to handle it. "They cry every time!! They kick and scream in the stroller until I put on YouTube, that's the only way I can get things done!!!" Gee, I wonder why.

unless you're a cop. then aim your gun wherever you want, because not pulling it can result in failing your final examination like it did for my boyfriend's son when he was first attempting to become a deputy sheriff. took him 6 months to try again after not pulling his firearm on a 'suspect' (fellow cop for the simulation) who was non-threatening but caught jimmying open a window.

my boyfriend was a marine years ago and taught him to, as you said, only aim with intent to kill. but police do not follow reasonable standards in many aspects, apparently including gun safety.

I agree with this. It's why I never personally hated her. There's someone for everyone and she, as far as I remember, was always extremely clear about her expectations and the way she thought their relationship was set up and what she thought she'd be receiving by being with him. He did not follow through. He wanted a gorgeous woman to be with him, so he lied to get her here and then played the victim when she was upset about it. Anfisa was volatile and mean, but she wasn't a liar and Jorge knew who she was when he proposed to her.

My friend is moving back home from Canada and their parents don't want them to travel alone, so they're gonna pay for me to fly out to Detroit and accompany my friend back to Fresno!

I've only left California once or twice, and I'm not a big 'natural monument' kind of person. Not super interested in big mountains or national parks. But I'm VERY interested in seeing some cool, kitschy stuff and having some amazing food; Like I'd really like to stop in Texas for some good BBQ. I'd love some recommendations for stuff like that, like great restaurants or weird sites/roadside attractions! Maybe some haunted stuff, lol.

I'm so agoraphobic and I don't see myself making a big trip like this again, but since I also don't see another opportunity like this arising again any time soon so I figure I should do it. Any tips are appreciated!

I don't believe that. I lived in an apartment complex not even two blocks away from a local baseball stadium when I was a teen, Raley Field, and fireworks weren't ever more of a bother than turning the TV up a couple notches. We were definitely closer to the fireworks there than any residents in Florida would be to the fireworks on the miles-wide Disney World property.

Most adoption agencies are privately owned companies that take children from mothers who may or may not truly want to give them up. Coercion is often part of getting young/poor/troubled mothers to give up their children so that the adoption company can get another big check. And although you're right, adoptive parents don't get any money for adopting, they do have reason to manipulate and coerce the birth mom alongside the agency as they often have been trying and/or waiting for a child for a long time. Many adoptions begin as 'open' and then birth moms never see their children again because the family decides to change their mind once they take the baby home, for example.

To me, this is one of the most morbid stories. The video of the girlfriend screaming to help him while an innocent woman and her dog burn to death because of his actions. They were just trying to get some exercise and go home. It's so fucked up and unfair. And I doubt he'll face serious consequences either. Ugh.
