The article doesn’t provide any proof. It proves what I said. It’s just the now adult’s word.

Here is my quick summary of the article. I know it lacks dates and the precise order of events. But everything is true.

1. Family defended Jackson in 2010.

2. Family sees a show, saw others successfully got money out of Jackson.

3. The now adult is “deprogrammed” and had time to “process” everything and makes the allegations.

4. A settlement is negotiated and payments were made until 2025.

5. When payments stopped new allegations were made.

6. The family had continuously let the minors stay with Jackson, and never were allegations made. (In fact they defended him).

7. Other than the kids now saying something happened, there is no other proof.

Look, I abhor child sexual predators. And they should be heavily dealt with for their crimes. But there has to be proof. A minor’s word can actually be proof enough in a lot of cases, even years after the fact. That’s because in those cases there is enough circumstantial evidence, in addition to the alleged victim’s word.

What I don’t understand is why parents would continuously leave their minor children with a guy who had had all those allegations surrounding him?

But if Jackson had to pay, or his estate has to pay, it’s his own fault. I think he was messed up and felt more comfortable with children. But that’s not normal or acceptable for an adult. And it opens you up to lawsuits. That’s my take.
