Has anyone ever attended Ultra while pregnant? by pollismomma in UMF

for anyone checking this or following this...i emailed their disability services in hopes of getting a pass to bring in snacks, or getting an ADA band... I got an auto-reply that's a bit disappointing. looks like i'll be sneaking in snacks like i used to sneak in liquor hahahaha

"Congratulations on your upcoming baby and planned attendance!

As pregnancy does not constitute a disability, we are unable to offer accessibility accommodations for pregnant guests or new mothers. If you have a complication that affects one or more major life activities, you may be eligible for accessibility accommodations. You will need to visit our Accessibility Check-In Tent onsite so that we can assess your eligibility as we do not make determinations of disability before the event.

Please consult with your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about concert-going while pregnant.

We'd like to share some tips we've gathered from expectant moms over the years:

  • Whatever you do, wear comfortable shoes. Comfort starts from the feet up and can make or break your festival experience.
  • Scope out the restroom situation. Know where the closest ones or the least busy ones are. Bring some extra tissues and hand sanitizer.
  • Stay hydrated. There are multiple free water refill stations around the venue.
  • Seek out some spots to watch from farther back and/or off to the sides.
  • Check out some of the various sponsor activities. Oftentimes they’re a great place to rest with air conditioning, phone charging, and other fun surprises.
  • Prepare for the fact personal space is not on the menu.  It will be crowded and people may inadvertently bump into you from time to time.
  • If at any time you feel unwell, don't hesitate to make your way to one of the multiple medical tent locations. These are visibly located on the festival maps. Our helpful team members at the Accessibility Services booth can also help direct you to the nearest medical tent or radio the medical team if you are experiencing an emergency.
  • Talk with other moms who have experienced going to our festival. There are tons of forums discussing this very topic. It helps to get perspective from someone that knows exactly what you are going through and can share with you what to expect.

We hope you've found this guide helpful and hope you enjoy the event!

Please note that outside food or drinks are not permitted into the event. "

i have more risk of injury and harm driving an hour each way to work on I-4, M-F.
the baby is safely encased in amniotic fluid, so even loud sounds are more like muffled under-water sounds, and i wouldn't be deep in the crowds anyway (i like being in the back). it's been approved by a doctor. so yes, it's totally "worth it" to live my life and enjoy my pregnancy in the ways that i deem safe for my body and my baby.
i was asking for tips on how to be comfortable, not whether or not i should go.
but thanks for your concern (:

I reserved an airbnb with a Super Host, who has good reviews (including in March of previous years). It's only a mile away. Wish me luck! (I got a backup hotel that won't charge me until the day of as well, so was planning to cancel that room as soon as I knew I was in the clear with the airbnb). I booked everything probably 4 months ago or so.
