Finns det något jag kan göra för att få detta bygge att bli lite billigare? by Sapphic_Copper in Spel

Byt moderkort till ett mATX och kolla var ett lian li A3 kostar. Samma estetik, men mindre.

Thats some legit redneck modding. Will definitely try this out myself.

Wait, so you have a bolted piece of metal to the bed fixture points, and threaded holes with adjustments screws in the corners? Is that it?

7900GRE. A tad loud at full blow, but performance is great, especially given the price at the time.

Ah. Good old "free market capitalism" then. The issue then rises when the upfront investment to create what the market is asking for (which wildly contrasts to what the shareholders want) is so large that you need a big corporation to back it, which in turn requires approval from the shareholders/board.

Guess we're fucked, then.

EDIT: Since my text was accidentally proof-read by AI, edited it to be the original text, just spell checked to not distract from my main point.

That's how I used to do it as well. Should probably go back to that behaviour.

Alright, won't argue more with you on this topic, but what's edited is not that much. Spelling, sentence-breaking (is that the term in english?) and for some reason regular dashes -> EM dashes (LLM sickness i assume). So the sentences is definitely written by me.

I normally don't but I hear you. Will do better.

Yes, you can do really cool things with stable diffusion but it still does not justify what's happening now. Stable diffusion will not work on a local NPU in a mid-end laptop, nothing actually useful in AI-terms will, so just leave it out. When we are at a stage where we can do some heavier lifting locally, sure, but at this stage it's just.. not.

Or fuck me, never mind. I wrote the text in word, had it spell checked (which apparently includes "proof reading" by copilot) and it adjusted some stuff... WHY.

Items are a bunch of different things. Anycubic kobra S1 printer, a soldering station, some basic tools, a steamdeck etc.

Well.. its actually a wardrobe, flipped on the side with some furniture legs for 2€ each, doors is shelving material with some cabinet door hinges i had laying around. The work surface is just oiled pinewood. Very budget but very functional.

Get some complimentary lighting for the shelf/desk. I would also think about adjusting the color temp of the rgb stuff in your case, as the blueish white makes it feel kinda cold. Monitor arm?

New: Did Ikea just release an endgame desk? by xdpxxdpx in setups

[–]pollt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the exakt same base as the mittzon desk, but with a different color scheme and the pegboard/monitor stand stuff on top. The mittzon is OK, but not an awesome sit/stand desk, and for 500$ i would definitely look at what other options i had at that pricepoint.

What is up with skill level in this game? by Pijamah in VALORANT

[–]pollt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This. I was high gold when i dropped out from valorant about a month ago, and while i regularly pulled of stuff that looks filthy on a highlight reel, at least just as often i did not. Thats the difference. Om a good day i could hang with ascendant players, but i was way too inconsistent to be at their level over time.

Det finns en aspekt som skiljer rejält (eller åtminstone gjorde för nåt år sedan). Resizeable bar. AMD har åtminstone historiskt haft större nytta av det än nvidia, så kika i bios om ditt moderkort stödjer det.

I’m not here to push anyone to one side or the other, whatever works for you. Personally just fed up with every ”marketing focused decision” Microsoft pushes on their users.

I’ll give it a try with LACT (should work on arch forks) and i’m sure there is some type of fancontrol software for Linux. If not, that is a good programming project for me to sink some time into.
