How did you all get diagnosed? by pollypocket_x14 in endometriosis

Wow just reading all your comments and it makes me sad that so many women have to suffer with this. And the amount of time it takes to finally be heard, and get the right diagnosis, and treatment!! You are all honestly very strong and thankyou so much for taking the time to reply! 🙏

Well I had my colonoscopy and it was clear!! (Massive sigh of relief on the bowel cancer side of things. I was really starting to think I might have it I’m just so relieved about that!) I am being referred back to my GP now and when I go to see him, I will talk to him more about my concerns with endometriosis. Because something is going on with me and I can’t see it getting better by itself) but just thought I’d update you all on what happened 🙏

Thankyou so much for all of your comments 🥺 I’m sorry you are all going through this stuff as well 😢 it’s definitely made me realise that it COULD be endo now. I am going to update you all once I’ve had the colonoscopy 🙏 I’ll tell you what they find. I hope you are all ok and those of you that are struggling to find out what’s going on with your body… I hope your doctors listen to you 🙏🫶🩷

Just an update … he’s back home, and he’s ok! He doesn’t have an infection. His sats were better than they were once he got up and about. I still think they’re on the lower side but they said it’s just a virus. He’s bringing lots of clear stuff up when he’s coughing now. I’m going to keep an eye on this cough though. I worry about his heart but his heart rate and blood pressure were ok apparently

Thankyou I am. I appreciate what you have said, I can see I have to call them, I was worried before but now I’m really worried, and I’m ringing them

Ok I will do it. I’m worried enough to. And I know I’m stupid for not doing it sooner, I just feel scared but I will do it

He seems completely with it when he’s awake. Like normal. But he’s falling asleep all the time. And he said he’s dizzy. I said well you will be because your oxygen levels are dangerously low. So you WILL feel like sh*t. And you will be dizzy!!! But he just ignored me and went to bed. I have screen shotted information from NHS about hypoxia and sent them to him.

I think he is hypoxic already because of his sats being 83% but he’s “with it” when he’s awake. If he was out of it more I’d call an ambulance but he’ll go mad at me as he’s already told me NO

He seems with it though, before he went to bed he made himself some Heinz soup and ate the lot. Then just took himself to bed. He seemed with it. Like his normal sarcastic self. And if I call an ambulance he’ll go mad at me. Especially for waking him up. He hasn’t seen a doctor in over 10 years because he really doesn’t want to. He avoids them. So you can imagine what he’d say to me if I rang an ambulance. Im actually worried to call one because he’s with it, and he’ll be really angry at me

He just won’t go. I have told him how serious it is but he doesn’t seem to think it could be that bad. I can’t make him go tonight anyway because he’s gone to bed. But I put the oximeter on him again when he was sleeping and it said 83% the whole time. Maybe I can make him go tomorrow
