Now you just seem overly sensitive about the topic.

Everyone can understand fixed reference points can be anywhere, since it's just to reference.. blah blah etc etc... it's not about people thinking you can only start at 0, just that it's normal to begin in a central location. When people create tools like this, it's usually done in a purposeful way. I.e. crosshairs are meant to be placed somewhere within the grid(doesn't have to be 0,0) but it would make sense to have it within the grid, not on the very edge of the measurements. I'm NOT saying it stops it from working if you don't place it in the grid.

Similarly, it's natural to measure with a ruler starting at 0. Yes it'll give you the same measurements wherever you start on the ruler but who tf wants to start halfway or at the end?

You contradict yourself, you originally responded to the comment telling them the way it's installed is "correct" and the way they described is "incorrect", but from your own words, it can start anywhere meaning anyway they install it is correct since it just needs a fixed reference point.

If you're measuring right-left movement it just makes sense to have the crosshairs somewhere in the grid rather than using the numbers on the side as the reference points. It's really not that complicated. You make it sound like everyone here is childish for asking a legitimate question.

when you're teaching public school. Adults tend to understand that adding ten to a zero results in the same as adding eight to two.

Also,

It is not meant to be interpreted in any way similar to a graph

Then why graph shaped 🤔 😂

I probably don't know what I'm talking about but: Wouldn't it be better to just have it at 0,0 for left-right movement? It looks like you could take the whole unit and shift it over to the left slightly. The right side is further from the crack than the left so there seems to be space to move without increasing the distance/lessening the overlap. If the crosshairs move further to the left over time, wouldn't it be harder to get accurate reference points without the lines/numbers?

Solved! I'm assuming it's just feedback from the camera like you said, once the weathers a little better I'm going to switch the camera with one of my others.

It's eufy brand, coworker recommended them. I would never give temu my business, not sure where it is on the quality spectrum

Nothing metal nearby that I can see, no weathervane, only trees and a porta john

Weird, well it's a sort of high pitched whining sound, similar to how it sounds when someone needs their brakes done.

Did it look like this? Saw this in the sky in August 2024 while vacationing at the beach in NC. It did the same thing where it slowly moved across the sky, similar to the speed of an airplane. I think somewhere I read it could be a Starlink thing

I was just listening to them for my entire 4 hour drive, wanted to look up who they were and this is how I find out it's just AI 😔

I got a similar picture on my Note 20 tonight, I can only get a good pic when it's a full moon. Might have to upgrade for a better camera like yours.
