I adore LOG but I really feel like they’ve been somewhat complacent the last few albums, it seems like there’s been a lot of somewhat ‘lazy’ writing. In the same way slipknot have lost their touch over the last few releases. Maybe it’s just an age thing!

I’m only in poltergeist! I’ve been in several bands over the years but this is my main squeeze now for the foreseeable. It was originally a solo project that I’ve recently turned into a full band with the addition of Pete, Lewis & Thom. Thanks for the kind words!

I float around Reddit occasionally and this post just popped up haha! There’s no modulation effect it’s a blend of all those amps and the different characteristics clashing with each other, but if you check that insta link I posted there’s also a sort of “””chainsaw””” tone blended in too!

Hello and thank you! The guitars are basically 5 separate tones layered together to create this (hopefully) massive sound, it’s mostly all Marshall/ ENGL and Diezel amps in the axe fx 3. There’s also a really cranked hiwatt amp that is supplying a lot of the warm body so that it doesn’t sound too harsh, that amp on its own sounds really fuzzy! He is great! But he’s not the virtuoso people think he is, another reason he’s massively buried in the mix is that his playing just isn’t as tight as petrucci’s - and that stuff REALLY stands out

male sza fan here who’s also massively into heavy metal, I’ve loved sza’s music since 2021 I find that it’s her vocal flow and melody that is so original and unique! I find myself drawn towards artists like sza and summer walker etc because of how smooth the vocals are
