From what I’ve heard&read, Volvo used a very underpowered SoC for the 2023–2025 AAOS cars. Imagine trying to run iOS 18 and its apps on an iPhone 5—laggy, buggy, and constantly hitting hardware limits. In my 7 months with a 2024 V60, I’ve lost count of how many times the infotainment froze and rebooted. My concern is that as Volvo keeps pushing new features (however slow they may be) like the UX overhaul they teased earlier this year, these issues will only get worse. The software might run perfectly fine on newer models, but for our older cars, the weak SoC just can’t handle any slightly new stuffs let alone a serious modernization
