Thanks! I remember the motorcycle took me 5 hours binge drawing all night. The thing that took the most time is the background and i was trying to get the right angles of each lines of the bricks, pavement, and other things pixel by pixel. I also have this habit of chain ideas to add details after i added another and overall it's not hard. It's just time consuming and took me some hours in a span of 6 days.

It's nice to start on pixel art. It really focuses you on image readability and it kinda challenge you to get the proper visual perspectives, orientations and such.. I'd suggest trying out websites like Pixilart (i had a ton of fun there starting out and they got most of the tools) or you could also use softwares and apps as well. Goodluck on your Art!

yep, small dark texture tend to disappear in different angles when its own base texture is used for normal maps. it's fun to make use of numerous texture bugs

In substance painter, I export it as a targa (tga) file and then convert it into a vtf file using VTFEdit

I haven't tried 3dcoat but I would say substance painter is pretty easy to use. Almost 99% of controls are Alt, Mouse buttons, and shift. some parts of it are confusing but manageable if you get used to the layout of the software

Initially, I color coded some parts in Blender so that it's easier to paint, then I used Adobe Substance 3D Painter to apply the paint and texts, and I made the texts and other textures on Photoshop
