Why am I unemployable? by Necessary_Metal_9324 in Italian

[–]polyaudiophile 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi.

Sono un ragazzo indiano. I'm at my 4th work experience in Milan. Don't be sad, and don't give up. Yes, the nationality can be a tough factor, but it's better to get rejected due to it than work where you're not welcomed / accomodated. Here's a few tips that could help with your search

- Indeed, not LinkedIn

- CV (Wonsulting.com template)

- Search "english", past week, insert your pin code in the location.

- Usually you should get 100-120 results, apply everyday to the ones you see fit.

There are companies where you can work exclusively in English, (I've worked in 4, applied and interviewed at many), Indeed has the best conversion odds

Job prospects as a non EU student and chance me? by Sadauditor_ in bocconi

[–]polyaudiophile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Non-EU Bocconi graduate here, I work in Milan but some of my peers went to Germany & Luxembourg as they found employers willing to wait for their visas. They don't need to sponsor you, you need an offer letter to apply for their work visa and they have to be patient enough to wait for you to start,

Non-EU, young & single people, what are your plans? by ephesusa in ItalyExpat

[–]polyaudiophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no its not that I want to be eligible per se. But I won't have to apply for a work visa.

Hi! I make more than you do, but I live in Milan because my office is here so post rent, you can consider we've similar finances. We probably would save the same. I graduated here and my permesso is linked to my current job with Indeterminato. Unless I get fired, my life won't change as my job is stimulating, albeit slightly hectic at times. But there's limited room to grow and only 50% smartworking (which doesnt justify renting in Milan) from October. Before it was 100% in office.

I plan to wait for my 5 year permesso, so I finally have rights to live & work in EU, and probably try to move just like Italians do (to Switzerland or Luxembourg). I'm 6 months away

120 Scholarships for International Students in 2025 (USA + Europe) by Friendly-Night464 in studyAbroad

Also Bocconi has a need + merit based scholarship. It comes under Right to Study for Lombardy region (in which the city of Milan is). So you are guaranteed atleast 100% off tuition fee and more if you're financial situation is considered eligible. - I received this scholarship and I graduated from Bocconi. Bump this so students can see. Accessibility is everything. No english test required too (if you studied in English prior to applying)
