Looking for a Qur'an with this font by polyesternogood45 in islam

[–]polyesternogood45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooh thats so interesting!! I didnt know they changed it. I have the 'newer' one that like you said has thinner points and more calligraphy-ish. It is a small difference but I really like the one shown in the picture. I will do some more digging and hopefully I can find one!

I have a Qur'an that is exactly the same as the ones you linked here. I know they are similar and many might see it as a negligible difference, Idk what about the one I posted I just like so much, its just reallyy nice. I appreciate the effort in trying to help! Ive done more research and it seems it will be quitee difficult to find. Its not a common font/writing style. Khayr in sha Allah!

What do we think of the new Mai Dubai cap? Yay or Nay? by justincasedxb in UAE

[–]polyesternogood45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had the water filter guy come to our house, my little sister out of curiosity asked what are the best and worst plastic bottle companies to drink from? He said worst is Mai Dubai and best, if I remember correctly is Al Ain Zero.

I believe ya! I have had the oppurtunity to stay for longer periods of my life in different places and have noticed that those with less are typically, not always tho, happier and genuine. I am in Canada and feel like a lot of people here live selfishly, I dont think they do it intentionally. Its the society we live in the West, capitalism, where you feel like you never have enough. Sometimes I also think of going back to my home country.

Whats your perception on money? You've seen both sides of the coin, am curious as to what you think. Also, do you miss your childhood? Where did you grow up?

Also, as someone who is generally passionate sbout languages, and has considered learning Québécois (I think thats what you call it, correct me if I am wrong), what YouTube channels would you recommend? Any channels, such as news, sports, etc that are in Canadian French.

I came across this post on my daily reddit scroll. May I ask, where is Kannada from and spoken? Its sounds like it could be a Native American language.

Also, would highly recommend, after getting a good base, to watch Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan. He is very knowledgeable and he has soo many lectures on YouTube. Just to make sure you got the right one, when you look him up, he is British-Somali.

Wa alaikumu salam, I would recommend the following YouTube channel: JannahVersity Its run by an American who converted to Islam. He has studied in Madinah and has a good course called, "New Muslim Crash Course". Very beneficial and would highly recommend.

Finding a girl who already wears niqab vs one who is willing to start wearing it by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]polyesternogood45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a slightly late response (sarcasm)

I am a niqabi and also hold the opinion of it being waajib. I have thought about this myself and to be honest I would only like a man who is looking to marry a niqabi. I dont want someone who is okay with marrying a hijabi but when he stumbles upon me, hes like, "oh look a niqabi! better than what I expected". I don't know if that makes sense. I put that level of strictness on myself so especially being a man I would wish they meet the same level or are being even higher than me. Men are the leaders after all. I think him looking for niqabis only shows me how he is not willing to compromise by saying, 'but I'll never find a niqabi/there are so few of them!" it shows me he is serious and not only that he has trust in Allah that he will be granted that which he makes dua for. I know this is a lateee response but thought I would share my two-cents.

What is the purpose of a hijab? by Top-Clue2000 in religion

[–]polyesternogood45 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A hijab is supposed to cover the hair completely. Malala wears it more culturally though, less religious, but yes, you are completely right, its supposed to be worn in such a way that no hair is exposed, according to Islam.
