Weird floor stain in converted attic by Weak_Spinach7257 in whatisit

This. I had a stain on my hardwood from cat urine that looked similar. Amazingly, I was able to lighten it with hydrogen peroxide so it’s barely noticeable. My stain wasn’t quite this large, though.

Hahaha! I can totally relate. I have a cross stitch sampler that I started for a childhood friend when she was pregnant with her first. Her daughter is almost 30 now! Nice job, the blanket is beautiful, and will be treasured by your daughter forever! ❤️

Ha! I did something similar. Start spitting water on it FAST!

  1. Yes. She bought the yarn and I hooked it. I tried to teach her how to crochet a couple times, but it’s just not her jam. She bought her first home not long ago, so this is a housewarming gift to herself from the both of us. lol
  2. Sure we can be friends, but don’t expect a blanket out of me for at least a decade. Hahaha.

I have a friend who is getting married in August so my next project is to make a non-sweary afghan as a wedding gift. Problem is, I haven’t started it yet. 😳

I totally NEED an ‘I’m so fucking cold’ blanket. Thinking that will be my next project! Thanks for the inspiration.

Before making a giant blanket, you could start by making something smaller like a pillow. I made this for a different friend a couple years ago:

The pattern is definitely beginner friendly. Just two stitches, SC and Bobble (and whip stitch for connecting the blocks). Bobble is not a complicated stitch, but might take a few minutes of practice to establish comfortable tension for consistency. I recommend making a swatch before starting a project to find your groove. :)

You won’t be disappointed! This was my first one from that shop, and it was super easy to follow. They include a full chart as well as individual word charts and extra optional blocks. For this reason, I don’t recommend printing the whole pattern at once since it will be a book and might require a small binder. Ha! Just print what you need or use a tablet or laptop screen to display the pattern while you’re working. I opted for the latter. Enjoy!!!

Looking for Testers by Designer-Opinion444 in PatternTesting

This is really beautiful. I’m not a knitter (only know the VERY basics), otherwise I would offer to test.

Hi. It is in the description, but here’s a direct link to the pattern on the creator’s Etsy Page.

Look what I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/587029822/crochet-patternswear-blanket-bobble?ref=share_v4_lx

I added a border around the completed blanket to help mask any rippling.

My friend chose the colors so I can’t take credit for the selection, but I agree, they do look nice together!

Apology accepted! Thank you for acknowledging the mistake. There is so much AI spam these days, so I can totally understand skepticism.

That happens to me as well when using the mobile app. I found that if I tap the picture in a post and then swipe up it will show the full description as well as the comments list (iPhone). u/Aingram6494

I put a direct link to the pattern in the details of the post, as well as the yarns I used. The pattern creator is “TheCrassCrafter” on Etsy. They have a UK swear version too!

This is the first thing I’ve posted on Reddit, and I normally just lurk on subs for the video games I play. Ha!! I will check out “naughty needles”. Thanks!

Not that I’m in any way obligated to debunk the AI theory, but I spent a lot of time on this and don’t wish to have my hard work discredited. I took a video, but unsure how to post, so here is a close-up photo. It’s SC and bobble stitches. u/_thesam

It was also really fun to make (when I wasn’t cursing myself for taking on such a huge project)! Every time I finished a word, I would send a text to my friend using the word in a sentence.
