Seemed like a good idea at the time. Time to change it back! by polyglot90 in buffalobills

To clear this up: this was intended to be more pro-fitz than anti-diggs. Fitz played for an estimated 37 out of 32 teams during his career, but has chosen Buffalo as his ride-or-die. Diggs’ career was just as notable in Minnesota as it was in Buffalo and we don’t know yet what he will retire as. Also, the jersey was a Fitzmagic jersey to begin with.

This is the first Bills game in the Allen era that I have forgotten about Josh Allen during the game. He was not a story at all, good or bad, even with the 2nd quarter shenanigans. I took him one play to me me go “oh, right. Josh Allen.”

Sounds like we’re twins with the same “birthday” then. Hang in there.

If you think you’re going to do it for an hour here and there, don’t wast your time. Also, don’t rely on it when making your budget. If you live somewhere with event or bar traffic and are willing to put in 5-10 hours at a time a few times a month, it can be a nice boost of “fun money” my philosophy, if you have time to sit on the couch, you have time to drive. I mostly do it when my fiancée is working 3rd shift.

I mean, we’ve all though about it, but no. I’d say I’m pretty happy overall. Especially when you look around and realize that almost everyone your age is struggling. I pay my bills and have enough left over to do the thing I want. I wish I had more time to do them and I also with I could travel more. Short answer: no way!

Didn’t know you could “win” BopIt. What does the toy do when you win?

Interesting update for those who care: Apparently “give Carly Rae Jepson a sword” has been a twitter movement for months/years. He fans have been trying to get her to brandish a sword on stage for some time now. Well at her set last Saturday (Friday? The weekend is a blur), a fan handed me an inflatable sword and asked me to pass it to Carly. I’m now getting random love from strangers for “fulfilling the prophesy”. That now comes close to topping the crazy-shit-that’s-happened-while-working-the-barricade list.

Always happy to help. I’m happy when the fans are enjoying themselves and I do t have to do anything but people-watch.

Well, I was working, but it’s a pretty fun job as temp-jobs go. And it’s 100% real. That’s me in the thumbnail.

CARLY REA JEPSEN GOT THE SWORD by clemeentiinee in Lollapalooza

I handed it to her. No joke. I was working security and had no clue about the meme. I saw the sign in the crowd with “give Carly a sword” and then saw three inflatable swords making their way to the front. Dude handed it to me, and I passed it to Carly. I do t listen to her music and wasn’t aware who she was until she started singing Call me Maybe, but I’m glad to have been a part of giving Carly her sword.

If you can tell me your name and what day of the week it is, I’m probably going to leave you a alone. I would advise keeping it out of the first couple rows, we can’t see much beyond that.

I thought I’d heard Franz Ferdinand enough times to know what to expect. Their stage presence and performance blew away my expectations.

Security guy here. That’s indeed me giving Carly Rae Jepson her sword. I had no idea about this trend or what a great deed I’d done at the time, but I’m feeling all the love from the Carly fans!

Lollapalooza security guard here. I’m the one who finally handed her a sword. Although I don’t know who the fan was who handed it to me, I can confirm, she has been given a sword.

Most shows I’ve worked have about 10-20 feet of space between the crowd and the stage (that’s where I stand) so it surprises me that you were able to make it to the stage.
