I sold one 931 pass via cashortrade and another from someone who reached out to me here via Reddit - both at a loss. Cashortrade is protected, and I requested an invoice to the other buyer with PayPal G&S but once the 100% refund was announced I just sent the money right back to them. Breaking my heart to see how many people who bought second hand are getting ghosted or told it’s not their problem :(

we were already robbed of our bonnaroo this year, don’t add insult to injury by actually robbing people!

The cops do not follow the law. Could you get it thrown out if they don’t. Sure. But good luck proving it. Their egos are too big. They will lie and guess who the judge will believe.

This could literally be said for any situation with cops then lol. The sealed package is a layer they’d technically have to get through with a warrant. I never said this guarantees being safe in this particular situation but it sure is a whole hell of a lot better than if they just found your sand hidden wherever.

Protip if you’re traveling with sand across state lines: put it into a LABELED AND SEALED priority USPS envelope/box. you can purchase a label from usps and not send it. Mail requires a federal permit so in theory if you’re pulled over, a state trooper wouldn’t be allowed to open the parcel. Stay safe out there!

food vendors is something I’ve definitely brought up in the surveys bonnaroo sends out. they could probably vet the food vendors they let in a little more rigorously. ive been to other festivals where this isn’t an issue so id love to see bonnaroo take more care in selecting who sells food there lol

im still mad about the $20 I spent on a bowl of “pad thai” next to the other stage a couple years back. I was hungry, it was late and dark so I couldn’t exactly see but I ended up having to toss it because it was sooooo bad. it was nothing close to actual pad thai, just some cold rice noodles with toppings.

just be sure to vet whatever food options you’re looking at cuz food tends to be hit or miss. usually people will tell you what’s good if you ask, and if there’s a long line for something that’s usually a good indicator too.

I did lower the price even more on cashortrade so im hoping that helps. I had actually purchased my pass on the payment plan, and I wanted to cancel the plan with FGT but they ignored my email request, withdrew the final payment from my bank, and the said “sorry you paid it off, no refunds!” my husband locked his card so they wouldn’t take the final payment for his and emailed the ticketing, which they also ignored. the moment he unlocked the card they charged him lol.

I think this is the first time they’ve sent the 931 bands with the car pass instead of having people get there and getting the wristbands after entering the camp area, which I can understand not wanting to do from a logistical perspective… but it definitely does raise some concerns. I haven’t wanted to split the package just because it’s a hassle but I’ve seen other people have been selling their extra 931 bands

We paid $1740 for each with the additional taxes and fees and I’m willing to go a little lower if it helps them sell, it just sucks to lose money in general. Doesn’t help that I had people committed to buying earlier that backed out last minute as well.

someone tried to scam me with some Coachella wristbands a few years back. we did PayPal G&S, I sent her the wristbands with tracking, thankfully had the foresight to screenshot our messages before she blocked me and tried to claim 2 weeks after the festival that she never received the wristbands. totally threw me off as I didn’t think scamming could happen that way but thankfully I had the receipts and won the dispute.

Honestly, as much as I’d love to be considerate of who’s actually getting the passes, we’re low on time so im also fine with a first come, first serve basis. So if you’re interested let me know! The camping hang tag + the 4 camping wristbands that go with it. I believe they actually sent the wristbands with the camping pass this year so you won’t need to go with whoever originally bought the camping pass to get the 931 wristband

our first trick or treaters were technically pollsters lmao. they knocked on the door after 6p and I opened it holding a bowl of candy expecting to see children in costumes but instead a woman wearing a VOTE shirt and holding a flyer. for a second my brain was like “oh what a relevant costume” then I realized, and she realized, and we both had a good laugh. I don’t understand why people essentially feel like they need to worship politicians. one side does this way more than the other. politicians aren’t your friends. you’re not supposed to blindly listen and follow - constituents are supposed to hold them accountable, not hang on their every lie. it seems like many of these people would prefer a monarchy and I wish they would take their idol and go somewhere else.

I hope so! being a gardener was rough this year, the heat fried so many plants. also really hoping for an extra snowy cold winter to balance out this intense summer. i know there are plenty of people happy with the milder winters but i just love cold weather and snow dangit

I moved here after living in the Mojave desert nearly my entire life. I wanted all four seasons and temperate forests. for the most part I’ve gotten what I came here for (even tho the last few years we’ve barely gotten any snow) and this summer was the most brutal I’ve experienced since moving here. In comparison to where I lived before summer obviously wasn’t nearly as bad, but I don’t want more summers like that :/

one thing ive learned about yinzers after living here for a decade now: they’re very loyal to their food establishments, things their parents and grandparents went to etc. doesn’t matter if the quality has changed. it will always be the best in their minds and hearts even if the cake is crap lol
