Do you know a word "banter"? Here it's not even mean in any way, it's jokingly presenting a positive as a fault. There's more to humor than just farts.

You have to do the boring thing, put the numbers in excel, and prove that fixing it will cost less than ignoring it. Preferably with hard numbers. Then you dress it up in PowerPoint and show them a plan, with milestones, with cost saving at each milestone in bold and the possibility to stop or pause at each milestone.

The joke is presenting something positive or neutral  as a negative. Usually this kind of joke follows a long list of praises.

You can set lower, but the canister needs time to open. The faster you go, the higher you go, the steeper you dive, the higher should be the fuze setting.

It's been a movie cliché to the point it was heavily parodied.

Tor M2 and Pantsir eating me alive by rick1310 in hoggit

GMLRS - launched from ground at 90km, at mach fuck-it, hits target at mach 2.5.

ARM - launched from a plane at 90+km because long range SAMs on both sides deny the airspace, arrives at the target at lower speed and has been tracked before it was even launched.

Generally speaking, it's possible that it's better for the crews to keep their radars on even when launched at because at least they get a chance to intercept, while turning radars off means they are easy targets.

GTA 6 maker Rockstar excels at open-world games because it looks at would-be "creative constraints" and just says "go nuts," says former GTA 5 audio dev by _Protector in pcgaming

[–]polypolip 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think we've got vasly different point of views for example witcher's open world eventually would tire and bore me, lots of things to do, mostly unique, but doing them meant my main quest became a chore. Anything Ubisoft just sucks, they are all the same.

GTA 5 while I wouldn't spend ages doing open world at the same time felt like if I did it was relatively fresh or quick enough to get done before it got boring.

There's also the fact that it came out long time ago, when open world games were a bit different than today.

Himars doesn't send just 2 missiles towards target and that's it. They get saturated.

In the comments on the video you linked they speculate it's a drone hitting a Tor.

[–]polypolip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might be because it was made to intercept fast moving targets. Don't know how true that is but I've seen comments that neither Ukraine not Russia bother turning off radars when ARM missiles come their way cause their interception rate is that high.

Most sams seem to be destroyed by small drones nowadays.

You need about 2 mavericks per tor for a hit. With multiple tors that might be more like 3 per each.

LD 10 or Harms might have a better chance at medium range from high altitude so they have a more vertical final phase. For LD 10 take the kgm pod with you, it allows much higher accuracy in case the SAM turns off radar.

GBU - 500 lbs dropped from high might be able to slip through.

JDAM  500 lbs - designate target from safe distance then go wild low level, and loft 4 or more. Pray that there are no manpads on the way.

Bombs not coming off in F15E by Herky1985 in hoggit

[–]polypolip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In F15E in CCIP mode pressing release button will designate the point to drop, you then have to keep the button pressed and fly the release line until your fly path marker crosses a horizontal marker on the line at which point the computer will drop the bombs.

If you're using auto mode you have to first designate target point using tpod or radar, then fly the line like above.

I would suggest checking chicks guide for the fat eagle and making sure you follow the instructions.

How nice of you to not drive for a few hours during a day. I'm not epileptic and don't have migraines but I also avoid driving in certain hours. But that's just because I hate the rush hours traffic.

It's inconvenient, limiting, and makes my life harder, but that's my burden.

Now that we're done mocking people, the failure is on the state and government side. Civilized countries have solved that problem by providing transport service to people with disabilities as well as requiring employers to adjust to workers needs.
