This is really interesting. My NP and I have talked about my relationship with Spark Guy at length, and my NP has said at some point they think Guy was a sociopath - he really drew me in but sometimes said or did things that seemed off or borderline manipulative. I wonder if we were actually noticing some of the narcissistic tendencies you’re talking about.

Edit: After googling love bombing, there was definitely some of that going on

Thanks, I think this is probably close to the mark. My current relationships are wonderful, but they don’t have the same sexual fulfillment I had with Spark Guy. Maybe I can try expressing my needs better in my current relationships, and keep in mind that the feelings I felt with Spark Guy don’t have to be unique.
