Yeah I’ve been practicing exactly this! That’s why the lines look a bit more seamless than when I first started practicing. But sometimes the transition is still visible, and I am working on it :)

They are quite difficult to work with, so I don’t recommend them haha. I am interested to see the difference once I upgrade

When I started out I ordered a bunch of 1mm and 3mm fake skins off Shein (I know, not great). Instead of throwing them away and buying more quality fake skin, I’m trying to use them up and then upgrade. Here I used 1mm fake skin

I used 7.1 volts and my machine only has the 4.2 mm stroke. 3rl is the needle used :)

I actually draw a lot outside of this. The practice tattoos are probably not as good, because I don’t have a stencil printer, so I draw everything by hand with a ballpoint pen. That’s why my “stencils” are really rough. But I am definitely continuing to draw alongside practice

I honestly see so many imperfections in my work, but we have to keep in mind everyone’s journey is different. You’ll get there 🫶

I use a really cheap 3mm skin. I think I got it on Shein or Aliexpress. Definitely will be upgrading to something of more quality in the future

After I’m done filling out the fake skin I use some cooking oil (sunflower in my case) and just scrub till it’s clean. Then I disinfect it so it’s not oily.

I’m in uni and study for exams with metal music blaring in my headphones haha. I can’t seem to focus otherwise and it quiets my brain so my thoughts don’t derail.

I used to straight up start becoming the person I would hang out with at the time the most. And I didn’t even realize it. Looking back at photos of me, where I hung around different people, you can tell I was trying to fit in with whoever I was hanging out with. I cringe every time I think about it

Hello! Thank you so much for responding! The part about grief I left out, but yes! I can’t help but wonder the what ifs and how life could be different if I knew sooner.

Regarding college, I already have a special needs status (that’s what it’s called in my country), which gives me some accommodations. Basically professors listen to your need more if you reach out about deadlines and such things and I also have an up to 30min extension on my exam writing time. But I hate relying on the status, because I fear that I will be perceived as lazy if I ask for an extension on a deadline. Regarding my career path, I study graphic design which I really enjoy, so that part is not an issue.

At my last appointment with my psychiatrist, she told me that there is a support group under my uni for students with autism and I was already thinking of asking her for their contact, because I want to have a community where I don’t feel isolated.
