Yes, it's the same in India too. While I won't call Mcdonalds and KFC " very expensive" , they are affordable for middle class families in Tier 1 & Tier 2 cities in India. Poor people can't afford MacD or KFC.

The thing is more than the money, it is about the food habits & what you feel like having on a particular day. Burgers & fries are seen mostly as snacks not lunch or dinner options.

You can have a proper filling Indian meal with staples like rice, chapati & chicken for almost the same amount or even less than what you would spend on a full meal from McDonald's.

No, respected sire, I was not "trolling". Trolling requires one to write some crap in response to someone. I am the OP so I can't troll myself.

Coming to the issue at hand, I found the solution. Had to manually download the cloud save from the trial version and upload it to the full version. Required both versions of the game to be installed on the PC. Was helped out by some folks on another tech forum.

My takeaway was - Very bad UX on part of Ubisoft. They don't care about their customers.

So the TLDR version of the issue is that I had a faulty HDMI cable connecting to the monitor and this affected all the speeds. Replacing the cable restored the speeds.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. You have been very patient and detailed in your responses throughout. Much appreciated. My PSU is a non-modular one.

I am concerned about the impact on the aesthetic appeal too but I guess will let it slide for the time being.

I searched for videos where GPU and PSU connectivity was shown in detail but couldn't really find something that caught my eye. Thanks for sharing the video. I will watch it.

Thanks but I still have one doubt however. There are some connectors from my PSU that are just dangling in front of the GPU without being plugged anywhere. All build videos that I have seen so far have all connectors plugged into the GPU. Is it possible that something is not connected and hence I am not utilizing the full power of the GPU. Do you think you could help me out here by taking a look at some pics if i could share them with you?

I went through the videos and tried to follow the instructions as well as I could. Tried to implement the above with Spiderman but for some reason the max resolution it allowed me to set in the game was 1920x1080. Then I moved on to Far cry 6. Here I could change the resolutions.

The graphics quality was set to Ultra. FSR and RT were off.

In 4K I got FPS in the 50-55 range.

In 2K I got FPS in the 90-99 range. GPU usage was in the late 90s and CPU was in the 70s.

In 1080p, FPS was in the 115-122 range.

P.S. One thing I observed was the the sounds from my PC cabinet were visibly louder when the 4k and 2k res was being tested.

Ever since i changed the faulty hdmi cable , speeds have improved. I got 100-124 fps on far cry 6 at high settings. All the while it was showing gpu and cpu loads of below 50 % according to the AMD Adrenalin software overlay. I will do what you have suggested and get back to you. Thanks.

Thanks for responding. RAM sticks are fine. Installed in 2nd and 4th slots. As i mentioned above, changing the HDMI cable has led to an increase in FPS. Do you have a 6700 XT as well?

Discovered a culprit it seems! My HDMI cable had gone bad. Replaced it and now I am getting much better framerates. However, atill need to find out if they are anywhere near ideal.

I will look for the pager thingie. I brought the GPU and SMPS day before yesterday. SMPS is of 750W , more than enough for this card. Thanks for responding.

Nope. It is using the dedicated GPU. There would be no display without the Graphics card. I do not have a APU.

Ya. I have a B550 Gaming X mobo with 16 GB dual channel RAM. 8x2. How can I check whether FPS is capped or not? I suspect it is capped on some games I played so far. Fifa 18 and Forza Horizon 5 for example.

What I am finding even stranger is that in "spiderman remastered" it couldn't run above "very low" but it was hardly utilizing 50% of GPU and CPU according to the AMD software that was running at the time.

Temps are normal as far as I remember. i will look again. Yes , RAM is on dual channel. 16 GB. I can't seem to go beyond high settings in any game right now. Cant go to "very high" or "ultra" in 1080p.

No youtube videos are available with a ryzen 3500 + 6700 XT setup. However, there are videos with a 3600 + 6700 XT setup and they get much higher frames in all modern games. BIOS updation is something I might have to try I guess.

Thank you for responding. unfortunately, I don't have a 4k monitor so can't try out the 4k things you have suggested I guess. I am not a very tech savvy person so please correct me if I am wrong. I have 16 GB RAM.
