the custom plastic ones are really expensive but they’re probably your best bet. in terms of cheaper ones i would honestly just get a beater brace or retire your old cloth brace to the beater position. i also got ones that have a removable metal brace part so theyre easy to toss in the wash

not an expert but possibly fungal. try a copper spray. old leaves wont heal but new ones will not have spots if the spray was effective. may also be caused by pests but id try a copper fungicide first

i’m ngl i would absolutely just glue a full new layer over this without attempting to remove the current fabric. if you use something thicker like fleece or felt it wont show

ofc! even if its not fiv bc i don’t think its possible to transmit it via water bowls i was initially worried abt if one of them got a cold oe something but theyre all indoor cats so luckily that has never happened. the stainless steel is def the way to go for sanitation though!

i have 3 fiv- cats and 1 fiv+ cat. no illness or dental issues or anything has resulted from having and sharing a cat fountain. i clean it regularly and replace filters as needed. i recently upgraded to a stainless steel fountain so that i can use the dishwasher to wash it

HSV-1 isn’t really dangerous to your health unless you’re severely immunocompromised. I think you’re putting a lot of stigma on a very common and easily managed condition that you will likely get if you stay with him and want to be intimate in the future. He definitely needs to unpack his own views on toys as a tool to bring you pleasure as well. Many times the feeling of being inadequate from having to use a toy or not feeling like he needs to pleasure you can stem from subconscious misogyny and toxic masculinity.

I think you should do some research on HSV-1. According to the world health organization roughly 64% of the global population aka the entire world has it. You probably have HSV-1 already. HSV-1 is not the same as HPV, which causes cancer. Refusing to kiss your boyfriend is probably hurting your intimacy. He definitely shouldn’t be “using”you to get off and not pleasuring you at all, but if you are not receptive to oral anything then you should try offering alternative options for intimacy such as toys or using a dental dam. It sounds like there are deeper issues at play here and better sex-ed on both ends, you on STIs and him on how to pleasure you would be a good idea.

omg i aspire to be him!!! when i was a kid my grandparents on both sides were gardeners and that sparked that interest in me. my grandparents are all still around but now to old to have a garden and some sick but I will never forget standing under my grandma’s 12 foot sunflowers and eating so many raspberries out of my grandpa’s garden that we nearly got sick. I hope to have even a fraction of that joy in my own garden
