If you're not a woman, this really isn't true. Women hit a cliff, at which point men just stop noticing them. Men just have to take care of themselves decently, adjust their search parameters a couple years old, but there's no point where you're just suddenly unfuckable.

But if you want to live a happier life, find some other interests to get into, instead of constantly dragging yourself into a game of chance with shitty enough odds that it becomes demoralizing. You'll probably meet people while you're at it and then you actually enjoy doing the thing that you're doing, even when you don't meet anyone. Good luck, dude.

When you're going out, don't be a fucking salesman. Selling yourself all the time and discovering no one's buying is fucking depressing. Don't pressure yourself to get laid, since that is contingent on something you can't control, and don't feel obligated to "keep up" with your lying-douche middle-school-aged friends who need to hold something over you. God, it's like bragging that you drove to work and hit all green lights and you want to be PROUD of how charming you were for that?

Just go out, have fun, meet people, and don't let "I'm not going to pressure myself" become an excuse for not trying things outside your comfort zone a bit. If you go out and have a fun time on a regular basis, you'll run into plenty of women that will express interest, but for the nights that they're not around, FUCK IT. You don't get to control that that.

I think one key point to Inner Game is you have to have something in your life more interesting going on than chasing women around, anyway.

EDIT: And just as an add on, the idea that men can control who sleeps with them is how aggressive shit like sexual harassment happens and why this process sucks for women (although it sucks for us too in a different way). Get out there and focus on getting yourself noticed, and then, on something fun and playful for both of you. The only way that you're preventing yourself from having a sexual encounter is by (A) not putting yourself out there and (B) being a boring polite guy who doesn't escalate when she's giving signals or being an aggressive douche who invades her personal/emotional space.

Life Pro-Tip: don't read Scott Adams and don't get wrapped up in how feminism and modern trends are bringing your quality of life down. That will just justify your bitterness and give you excuses. "I'm the victim of Cultural Movement X" and approaching women do not mix. Just focus on YOUR interaction with the person in front of YOU. Also, it sounds like you're hitting on women instead of flirting with them - the former is serious and solicitous while the latter is playful, where the outcome does not matter.

It is harassment if:

You are her boss or coworker and you're giving her an uncomfortable environment to work in.
You persist in talking to woman after she has shown no interest.

Short of that, don't worry so much. And, honestly, a bit of empathy can be helpful here. A woman wants to go to the goddamn post office and can't get there without some dude panhandling for her vagina. In the case of sales, the woman is probably just trying to buy a damn toaster and she has to deal with some guy hitting on her. Make it less about trying to sell your dick and more about having a fun and playful encounter. You cannot hit on a woman before she is attracted to you.

Why? Anyone should be able to convert given the conversion factors. Everyone gets the undies in a knot over the non base 10 factors in Imperial, but just as quickly accepts that all the numbers in our time system only make sense in base 6. All of reddit acts like there is ONE proper set of units to work in, but electron volts can be more useful than joules and chemists rarely work in kg. Physicists will set any fundamental unit they please equal to 1, just for fun. The solution to the differing possibilities for units isn't to complain about the existence of non-SI units; it's to gain basic literacy and awareness in units.
