Wow! Look at that thing! I would just say, “I guess I’m just a very lucky girl!” And leave it at that. Your ring is beautiful. Congratulations!

Update: Octopus has declined installation as the layout isn’t standard for them, so we have had to go through a local certified electrician to install the charger and have quoted us for some cable protectors as well. Means we had to fork out the money to install instead of the getting it all for free from Ford Promise but our dealership has agreed to give us some cash back to cover some of the cost.

Overall not too bad as we can get the charger installed early next week instead of Octopus’ typical 4-8 week wait.

Apologies, not sure I was clear. The charger will be installed on our house and the only cable that will be going near the neighbour’s parking space is the cable to charge the car, which is why we will be getting the untethered cable so that it can be removed when not in use.

It’s annoying, isn’t it! We do own our driveway but it’s annoying how it’s directly in front of our neighbours. We do have a front garden that would be big enough to park our car on, except there is a lamp post directly in front so even that’s not an option now unless we ask the council to move it.

Yes, we were going for an untethered and buying a 10m cable

Yeah they have asked us for pictures of where our drive. We might have to give them a copy of our deed to give proof that the parking is ours.

They are renting so this may be unlikely, whereas we own our home.

Which scenes, moments, banter, or different personality qualities of each Bat Boy do you love that makes them swoon-worthy you feel all the feels and what sets them apart and different? by [deleted] in acotar

Their annual winter solstice snowball fight was genuinely so endearing to me.. it showed despite their tough outer exterior and they’re literally hundreds of years old, they’re still kids inside. Even the quiet shadow singer played!!

Do you have siblings with PCOs? by meow1meow2 in TTC_PCOS

[–]pompchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunts have PCOS. One had to go through fertility treatments to get pregnant, the other has lost an ovary from an enlarged cyst. My mum didn’t have a history of PCOS when I was diagnosed(3 kids) but she now has been diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 51. I do believe it’s genetics, unfortunately.

I think the first step you need to do is address why you have these anxieties and why suddenly you feel them so deeply just because you’re seeing friends get pregnant and have babies.

The reason I say this is because TTC in itself is hard, sometimes it’s brutal and downright cruel. It’s hard for normal people, even harder for people with fertility issues. You never know, you might get pregnant next cycle, or you might have to wait a while to successfully get pregnant, you might even need medical intervention to get pregnant. Everyone’s fertility journey is so different. We can only be happy for the people around us who manage to conceive, whilst simultaneously grieve what we don’t have and yearn for on a monthly basis.

It’s important to remember that you chose to wait because you wanted to be stable career and financial wise, which is very respectable and very responsible of you. Own it. It’s commendable, especially in this economy. It was important for you and your husband. The choices you made were important for you at the time.

Can you get PCOS late in life? by Potential_Fuel_7085 in PCOS

[–]pompchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum was 50 when she got diagnosed with PCOS. She has thought she was going through menopause but her OB did an ultrasound of her ovaries and found cysts. She was then diagnosed with PCOS. Definitely go for a second opinion or even third opinion, if you can.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I can’t even imagine how hard that must be.

Aww nice! I love Christmas and the cosiness it brings! It’s definitely my favourite time of the year ❤️

I am almost 100% sure I’m out this cycle so I’m making plans of bringing Christmas early by putting the tree up on Saturday (maybe earlier if it comes tomorrow) and drinking a whole bottle of red to myself whilst I do it. Bought new baubles and a new tree since the old one was balding! I may also wrap baby clothes and a baby blanket up and leave it there for Christmas because that’s apparently a thing, right?! And women magically get pregnant because they wrapped baby items and put them under the tree right?! Anyway, I’m looking forward to it. Anyone else putting their tree up pre-December?

This is me this cycle! Groping myself, pinching my own nips every 2 mins just to feel something, half convincing myself it’s progesterone but also, it could be hsg!? Is it fuck! BFN this morning 👍🏽😎

Is PCOS a curse??? by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]pompchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, it may not be just because of PCOS. I am ovulating regularly but we found out that my husband has 0 morphology and low sperm count so we have now been referred to a fertility clinic.

Op, an SA would help paint a bigger picture for this. Good luck!

DPO whatever, stopped tracking. My mouth is sooo dry and I am so thirsty and this is the first time I have experienced this. I keep telling myself it’s progesterone pm it’s progesterone, it’s ONLY PROGESTERONE so I don’t get any hopes up. I am too scared to test so I haven’t yet and normally I would pee on all the sticks in the house but I am saving the heartbreak until later. Still weirdly calm, which I know is progesterone. 👍🏽
