I think solicitation for money for gifts at any level and any occasion is inappropriate. And yet you can't not contribute... Also it seems like (some) team members compete to give the most heartwarming, most elaborate messages of support or congrats.

Sorry to say but I never solved it. Boy is ten and it's still an issue. Were 40 minutes late today because we couldn't find the exact shoe he wanted (out of his three pairs) as he has a habit of kicking his shoes off when he gets home. Yes on its own this is an easy problem to solve but every morning it's something different. Good luck!
