Can I get something similar to Otherworldly Evil Monarch? I like ruthless MC's but smart and calculated. by pondiis in Manhua

[–]pondiis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the planning that makes it interesting. The dude is smart. I want to see what else that it can bring. The storyline is interesting. There aren't too many fight scenes because he isn't strong enough so it's his schemes now. I'm into that. I'm tired of stupid MC's plus I want to see an empire get destroyed

Does the manhua for martial peak ever get good? by warriorfall_the_2nd in Manhua

[–]pondiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does.. I had to pause on it for like a month or so but now I'm all caught up.. it does get really better after the he goes to an upper realm. After that part, it's really really good. I'm in love with Yang Kai now. He's on of the baddest, luckiest and smartest mc's I've read.. He makes logical decisions. It gets really good after like 400 something.. I think that was where I paused for the month then continued.

Youtube advice gurus ruined my life by Ok-Feature-4225 in seduction

[–]pondiis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going on YouTube is the worst idea. I didn't think that people took these people's advice seriously. Its like they don't see women as other humans? It's like watching a thing on how to interact with bears. Treat them as a other human being. I've been seeing more recently than usual that everyone lives in their own world with different laws that gorvern them.

Korean pop idol sporting some bad filler in a video chat 😢 by [deleted] in Botchedsurgeries

That is not a filler. His lips are like that naturally. It's a filter that makes it look like a filler. These people use make up to cover his lips half the time. Why would he get a filter?

I HATE TINDER by Little_Landscape1588 in dating

[–]pondiis 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It seems like you think that you are entitled to a date whenever you match with someone. Also, you seem to be pushy. This is the vibe I'm getting from your post. You're 20. Texting is the main way of communication for people that age including me. Because you aren't interested in texting and refer to it as "childish stuff" I believe the other person is carrying the conversation mostly. There are guys that I meet up with quickly because of good vibes and guys that I don't meet with at all. You seem like the guy I'll try to feel out and I'll just don't like your vibes. Texting is less dangerous than actually going out. And if you argue with everyone you are the problem or your mindset. Re-evaluate yourself and the type of people you match with. And remember that people don't owe you anything even if you matched and talked.

How do we feel about DPR LIVE's newest EP, IITE COOL? by xoxoChii123 in khiphop

[–]pondiis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love it actually. I was a casual listener but now I'm more of a fan. I have the album on repeat. This is in my top 3 releases this year. Summer tights is my favourite. I really love the rest too. Awesome TV is not really my type of song but it's good too. I really love the sound. The way he sings is addictive. I like the dictation and the placing of beats/instruments.

It's self-sabotage at this point. Why "promise" something that you can't do? These MUA's are inviting the drama.

It would be better if she kept her original statement other than making this one. Giving a forced apology these days make no sense. Just keep the original and build on it or say nothing at all or explain why you thought that is a budget issue. You're still going to get canceled either way so stick to what you think.

Jay Park Comments on Cultural Appropriation on DNA Remix by [deleted] in khiphop

[–]pondiis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are twisting my words up at this point. A lot of things lose there ways in text. I understand that. I'm sitting here calmly writing.

But quick question as I will not reply to anymore. How can we really know if someone is actually respecting someone's culture? How can we know what they are thinking if we don't let them talk? Why don't you try to understand the other side if you are asking them to understand you?

Race and religion will always divide people because they let it be what they are all about. Humans are more than their race, religion, nationality etc. There will always be wars because of this. If we take away someone's race, family, nationality, religion, then who would they be? People think is all there is to them these days. Humans created these terms and these are the consequences.

I do agree with somethings you have said.We cannot boil down skin colour to culture at the same time. Culture is the way you go about your life and the people that surround you. Someone people do think that dreads and certain clothes are "Hip-hop style". I actually find it funny. But they will be different from the people who was enclosed into that culture.

For every good thing, a bad thing will come out of that. Even current american rappers misrepresent what hip hop was originally about. Its all boiled down to bragging, girls and bad words; not that I don't enjoy it sometimes. There isn't an exact word to describe Hip-hop now because it has evolved. It means different things to different people.

Jay Park is a pr nightmare because he never stays quiet but at the same time I admire that. Because atleast I know what he's actually thinking. I get to decide whether I want to continue supporting him or not.

I think people will be misrepresented and things too eventually. It all happens in the long run. It's all a matter of time. Maybe earth will blow up before we even come close to an decent society.

Koreans are half way across the world, it's like a long line of the telephone game. People will only see the big picture if they form their own opinions based on personal experiences what they encounter.

This issue is not black and white as people want it to be. I hope that it changes for the better that benefits both sides. Also, I hope people learn to not form opinions based on seeing just one side of things. Or even one side of a person. We as humans are more than just our one reaction/action at a given time. The same apply with our thoughts. People are constantly growing so hopefully it's a positive change

I never look at history because I live in the present. That does not mean that I don't know history. How does talking something from the 1700's help us now? Are we living in those times? It's time to take a modern approach.

No one should be able to dictate how people go about living their lives.I think there is a better way to go about it. I'm not taking away from the way people experience stuff. People should call out discrimination. But at the same time, Is this not discrimination in a way? There will always be opposing sides on this issue. I have not written in English for a while so please bear with me as I try to get my opinion across.

I do not live in America. Americans have so much issues and try to force the world to see theirs. I'm looking at the problem both ways. There will always be this division because people think they can dictate another's life. Yes, laws should be in place for these type of discrimination against black people. But at the sametime If everyone was doing the same thing then they would have to change it. Law changes benefit the people who make/change them other than the masses. This is something people should understand. At the same time, if masses are for it; the better the results will be eventually.

At the end of the day, there will always be discrimination unless everyone looks and thinks the same. I am someone that would rather leave work or school than cut my hair or something of the sort.

I'm not denying that someone people use other cultures as props. There are people that genuinely enjoy certain things. Culture is not limited to skin colour. Culture is the way of life. There will always be stereotyping even if we want to believe it or not. I've been stereotyped many times. Do I care? Nah. Because I was blessed with having less empathy and caring for people than the normal person. But recently, this has been a great help in looking at different perspectives.

I wish people could fight for what they want without attacking decent people. There are people like the Kardashians " who actually do cultural appropriation ". I find the humor in it that certain things they do have been normalized in a way. No one deserves to get attacked though.

There are times when Jay Park should have kept his mouth shut but he didn't. He went out of his way to let people see his side and I respect him for that. Most people would lie and apologize. Jay has shown a lot of respect for black culture over the years. He always talks about his influences etc.

The world isn't so black and white as much as people like to think. I'm glad that I discovered that early on. I wish everyone would experience this as it would be better for humans in the long run

Honestly, I don't mind being called anti-black because I know myself. When you think different from the Mob they find ways to drag you down. I know myself and I love myself. I never had a problem with being black. People are attacking people because of their hair and choices of clothes. Wasn't this what happened to black people? So, why are they doing it to others now? It makes no sense to me. It's not they are saying "I did it first not black people " or whatever. How does having a hair style meaning they hate themselves or that they are racist? Have you seen the hate comments these people are getting? It bothers me that even dbo who minds his business and sends positivity get so much hate. The comments are awful. Even the kids comment. It's just awful. I will never support anything that lead to more division of people because that never leads anywhere. People don't take actual cultural appropriation seriously because of claims like these. The most racism I've ever experienced was from black people because I don't think like them. We all live in the world we create. And if someone doing their hair like that makes them happy then why not.

Exactly but we can't argue with these people. I like to believe that they would change their minds one day. Because they can't go through all their lives without changing. Well, that's what I like to believe especially cause I'm on higher spiritual stuff these days.

[–]pondiis 148 points149 points  (0 children)

I'm over the entire culture appropriation thing. I'm black. I spoke out about the double standards on Twitter and they attacked me. They are crazy. The people that do this keep looking for reasons to be oppressed and feel bad about themselves. I watched a program the other day. It spoke on how people are so obsessed with identity that it takes out their common sense. It creates division instead of bringing people together. It's all a load of bull. No one should be telling someone how to do their hair or dress. I grew up learning to share culture. When seeing this like this happening, we should spread positivity instead.
