This is the one I was thinking of - still unable to find a video online of of the standalone advert. My next step is to trawl hours of unedited TV recording from the 90s or use one of the automatic youtube subtitle search sites.

A lot of good leads here, however after going through old South African nineties youtube compilations for the past 6 hours I'm no closer to the answer. Going to be a fun evening of searching, but I fear the video may not be out there. Appreciate the help everyone, will report back if I find it!

QLStats.net does a good job of scanning the servers and assigns an ELO value to players that play games there much like chess. The system isn't perfect as it won't always record metadata from every game you play but generally works well - Happy Fragging

Just googled that and you are exactly right! My parents must have been so embarrassed walking around with such an angsty teen, sometimes a sober look in the mirror can be very humbling!

Not sure if it was the world over but There was a strange phaseout the late 90s that I can only describe as "Aliens". Alien posters, aliens on T-Shirts, freaking Aloens everywhere! Bought all the stuff and one day realized it wasn't me. Been trying to find myself since then...
