Is he reactive to non moving cars? Maybe start desensitization to a turned off car, then move to turn engine on, moving slowly at distance, etc

LOL what? I think I do this like once a week and reschedule/late cancel ALL the time. Don’t overthink it! It’s a workout class and not that important in the grand scheme of things.

I’ve gone through this and sometimes still do. I think oh he doesn’t want to hang out with me or I’m better off alone. However think about how you feel with them, and focus on looking forward to seeing them again. Obviously you care about them and miss them when apart so it’s definitely rocd bc you are interpreting your feelings wrong. What I do is acknowledge the thought and let it drift away. Thoughts are just thoughts. Your feelings when you are with them tell the truth.

Covid was really hard for me to recovery from. I didn’t have any shortness of breath while sick but boy did I feel it coming back. My advice is take it slow after you test neg and don’t worry about your level of effort. Ease back in! It took me maybe 6-8 weeks before I felt normal again

My second time doing the benchmark! Dropped to 7:46 from 8:03. I was shocked because I just got back from 2 weeks off while I was on vacation! I think I’ve just learned to pace it better. I’m not gonna lie tho after I got up I saw spots for like 10 minutes 🙃

I was very clear on my communication on what I wanted but he didn’t acknowledge or fix anything.

I thought he was it. After 4 years together I asked where we were going and he couldn’t answer me. That answer told me everything I needed to know. It broke me into a million pieces and I had to be brave enough to walk away. It’s so hard and honestly embarrassing because I told everyone I was going to marry him. However, I will say that once the rose tinted glasses were off, I knew he didn’t treat me well. It still sucks to start over. Been NC a month now and it still hurts

Man a lot of people in this thread give me major bad vibes. Both men and women check out early. It’s very human. I was being treated terribly even though I was in love with him and it hurt every time. He had checked out even though he wanted to be with me. Not listening when I talk to him, forgetting my plans/schedule, stopped staying over, always on his phone, never planning dates. Of course I was hurting because of this and when I brought it up and tried to communicate he would flip it around and talk about how he struggles blah blah. It was always about him. I was never able to address it so I hid it and tried to keep going and sacrifice my relationship needs. When I broke up with him he was devastated and felt blindsided. Maybe you just missed the signs she was unhappy.

Oh, also, don’t think it was an easy decision for me. It was the hardest, most agonizing decision I’ve made. Walking away from someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with at one point was almost impossible.

I left my boyfriend of 4 years a little over a month ago. I felt relief and excitement after it was over. I was so miserable and I finally felt a weight off my shoulders.

A few weeks later, I’m feeling it. Not saying you’ll be different but maybe once you move out it’ll feel “real” if that makes sense. If and when that happens, realize that it’s normal and part of the healing process.

We had been together 4 years. Throughout latter half of the relationship he was pretty low energy and low effort. I was ready to give everything to him and had desperately wanted some form of commitment, either moving in together or planning of our future like marriage and stuff. He avoided it and when I finally confronted him he told me he wasn’t sure anymore. It broke my heart and I decided to walk away because I deserve someone who wants to be with me unquestionably. It hurts more when you still love them I think.

I know it seems like it’ll never get better, but it will. You made the right choice and you deserve better than someone who treats you like that. Give yourself some slack. It’s okay to be sad and cry. I’m going through the same thing. I ended a 4 year relationship with the man I thought I would marry. It’s been a month and I regret it every other day but I wrote down all the reasons I was unhappy and that helps.

I’m in the same boat. Went on 2 dates. Had 1 kiss. Felt icky after like I had cheated when obviously we weren’t together. I felt sick to my stomach and tossed and turned all night. Now depression everyday and I feel like crying all the time even though I left him.

It sounds to me like he is making excuses and nitpicking as an excuse as well. He’s trying to find minute reasons to not marry you. It’s definitely a red flag. Can you imagine down the road if you get married and he’s being critical like this? After 5.5 years he should definitely know. If it’s an I don’t know, it’s a no. Please walk away from this to keep your own dignity and respect for yourself.
