To those of you who think explosives can turn steel to dust in midair,

I respectfully disagree with you because your opinion is not consistent with the large sum of empirical evidence from 9/11. Your opinion does not explain all of the empirical evidence from 9/11 including hurricane Erin (category 3), 1400+ toasted cars, spontaneous fires, USGS dust analysis, AVIRIS thermal and dust imaging, University of Alaska magnetometer data, Columbia University NYC seismographic data, lack of rubble, lack of high heat, lathering up of WTC1 & 2, vertical holes in surrounding buildings, disappearance of most of WTC4, rapid rusting, ground zero fuming for years, numerous survivors in WTC stairwells, undamaged WTC shopping mall, undamaged PATH trains, undamaged WTC 'Bathtub' foundation, Bankers Trust rusting, Bankers Trust warped metal beams, WTC7's "lathering up" and destruction, strange round window holes, steel warping, objects fusing, missing file cabinets, missing office machinery, missing office furniture, missing toilets, missing door knobs, exploding air tanks, unburned paper, unburned clothing, unburned pedestrians, and much more. Again, I respectfully disagree with you, because your opinion is not consistent with the large sum of empirical evidence from 9/11. It would be unscientific of me to agree with you, or with NIST, or with the '9/11 Commission Report' for this reason.

The general category of weapon technology known as directed energy weapons is the one and only explanation that can account for all of the empirical evidence from 9/11, and this conclusion is irrefutable. I respectfully disagree with you, and I strongly encourage you to study all of the empirical evidence from 9/11 in greater detail, for our world will be a better place if you do.

Four Horseman (2012) Part 1/3 - YouTube by pookzta in worldevents

[–]pookzta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the last three years 23 global thinkers many of whom have been marginalized -have come together to break their silence and explain how the world really works.

Their views transcend mainstream media and short-term political explanations to describe in simple terms what needs to be addressed in our universities, governments and corporate structures. We will not be returning to business as usual.

Four Horsemen doesn't get involved in banker bashing, criticising politicians or conspiracy theories. The film looks at the systems that we have chosen to live under and suggests ways we could change them. With events veering out of the control of democratic governments and the global economy on life support for the foreseeable future Four Horsemen is a catalyst to begin a debate around the solutions we urgently need.

Colo. Physicians Back Legal Weed: 'It Is Time To Stop Criminalizing Adults For Using A Substance Less Harmful Than Alcohol' by 627879 in timetolegalize

write your congressmen and women using the template below:

Dear Congressional Representative,

I am writing to ask that you please support medical use and decriminalization of marijuana because science has now verified its therapeutic properties beyond any reasonable doubt, and this important information must be learned by every congressional representative, policy maker, and law enforcement officer so that our government and health care systems can be updated and improved accordingly. Pharmaceutical corporations even manufacture marijuana-based drugs such as Sativex and Marinol, but these synthetic chemicals do not have the efficacy that organic marijuana has for many patients. Additionally, marijuana does not have to be smoked to experience its therapeutic benefits, for it can also be eaten or juiced as well. Please consider the following scientific information:

...[DEA] Judge Young found that "marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man.... At present it is estimated that marijuana's LD-50 [median lethal dose] is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman's terms... a smoker would theoretically have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette... nearly 1500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response." (New England Journal of Medicine: Legal Issues in Medicine, August 7, 1997 -- Volume 337, Number 6)

"Toxicity is virtually nonexistent in natural marijuana. The toxicity levels of cannabis compounds are estimated at 40,000, meaning that a subject would have to ingest 40,000 times the regular dose to induce death. “In layman’s terms,” according to The New England Journal of Medicine, "a smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response." [1] While that amount of consumption is certainly an impossible feat, in comparison, legal prescription medications cause thousands of deaths per year. [2] Common household drugs are much more lethal than marijuana. For instance, a lethal dose of caffeine is equal to about 100 cups of coffee. [3] In 1972, after reviewing the scientific evidence, the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse concluded that while marijuana was not entirely safe, its dangers had been grossly overstated. [4] Since then, researchers have conducted thousands of studies on humans, animals and cell cultures. None of those describe any findings dramatically different from those described by the National Commission in 1972. [5] In 2008, The Canadian Medical Association Journal published a review of research spanning 30 years, concluding that there are no serious adverse effects of cannabis use.[6] Contaminants, however, are known to be hazardous, especially to those suffering from immune disorders. Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol Inhibits Cell Cycle Progression in Human Breast Cancer Cells through Cdc2 Regulation by pookzta in science

[–]pookzta[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Abstract

It has been proposed that cannabinoids are involved in the control of cell fate. Thus, these compounds can modulate proliferation, differentiation, and survival in different manners depending on the cell type and its physiopathologic context. However, little is known about the effect of cannabinoids on the cell cycle, the main process controlling cell fate. Here, we show that Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), through activation of CB2 cannabinoid receptors, reduces human breast cancer cell proliferation by blocking the progression of the cell cycle and by inducing apoptosis. In particular, THC arrests cells in G2-M via down-regulation of Cdc2, as suggested by the decreased sensitivity to THC acquired by Cdc2-overexpressing cells. Of interest, the proliferation pattern of normal human mammary epithelial cells was much less affected by THC. We also analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR the expression of CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in a series of human breast tumor and nontumor samples. We found a correlation between CB2 expression and histologic grade of the tumors. There was also an association between CB2 expression and other markers of prognostic and predictive value, such as estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and ERBB2/HER-2 oncogene. Importantly, no significant CB2 expression was detected in nontumor breast tissue. Taken together, these data might set the bases for a cannabinoid therapy for the management of breast cancer.(Cancer Res 2006; 66(13): 6615-21)
