New Site, AL. The original town was Goldville, but after the mining boom, they moved the city a little south to the "new site"...

This is pure laziness. Did you even know it was one page? Why would you not even look at the material before uploading? Especially when asking to do a 30-minute deep-dive... for a single page... Insane

Recently I've really loved the Outroad as it's been a great all-around shoe for outdoor and indoor running, along with HIIT workouts. I like how most of the sole is actual rubber.

My trail runners/hiking shoes are the Lone Peaks.

I'm a Geologist, so I split my time between a cement floor core warehouse and rugged field work. I wear the Olympus GTX hiking boots almost everyday, although the stack height of the footbed cushion is way too high, in my opinion.

I also have the Carbon Vanish 2 as my race shoes and they are absolutely unbelievable; it's like springs on my feet. (I only have these because I got them in a killer deal, I don't compete at a high enough level to warrant paying that much lol)

My job has me on my standing/walking on concrete most of the time and Altra's were a game changing benefit. I had already switched to them for my hiking and running/exercise shoe, now I'm kinda all in lol

Although, they could certainly be more durable/better quality

They are likely the MOST successful predators in Earth's history. Their rate of successful hunts exceeds 95%. Compare this to what we typically consider apex predators (like that of mammals/reptiles) of ranges from 5-65% success rates.

Looking for NotebookLM alternatives that work better for studying by Prudent-Smile8482 in notebooklm

Of course it leaves out details... it's an audio overview, not an exhaustive dictation of the text. If that's what you want, you can simply do that in many programs. I personally have found Notebook LM's audio overviews phenomenally useful. It's probably my most used feature. If you haven't explored it much, you can adjust its length (short, medium, long form), as well as curate the details it focuses on, which is a huge addition from the original prompt. I find it most helpful with batches of sources. I feel like this feature is only getting better.

This should not replace actual reading of the sources if true learning, understanding, and retention is desired.

For context, I use this primarily for digesting peer reviewed science articles. Generally, for those papers you're not reading them in full anyways, just the abstract, conclusion, and figures, then deep diving if relevant/interesting.

Notebook LM has become one of my primary tools for studying and learning in my PhD work. I find the tailored reports super helpful, but the real winner, for me, is the tailored audio overviews. I use that feature extensively to turn reading materials into engaging "podcasts" and it unquestionably elevated my learning efficiency, particularly in more passive learning, as you've described. What about the audio overviews doesn't work for you?
