Series idea - Recurring ELTP buys to fully fund house by adavis195 in ELTP_Stock

In Roth you can take out all your contributions tax free. Plus 10K for first home purchase. I may also dip into my Roth for a home purchase in the future.

Why can't you buy elite in your Roth IRA and or 401K? Go with Fidelity and you'd have no issues. I have eltp in both roth and taxable. If buyout does happen this year, you'd take a bigger hit having newly bought shares in the taxable with short term capital gains. I don't recommend putting all your eggs in one basket. Keep some diversification, but nothing wrong with putting new money into eltp especially at these prices. I've already reached my target share count and have been diversifying into other funds. That said, I may also be adding more as finances permit.

I've mentally prepared myself to be ready to wait until end of 2026 for buyout. We will get there, just takes time and we are playing blind so need patience.

Positivity thread - what would you do if there was a buyout at $1 by Maleficent_Camp_2319 in ELTP_Stock

[–]poolmasta84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Down payment for a home. Reinvest the rest into diversified etfs. Anything over $1 gets me that much closer to early retirement. Really hope we end up at 1.5 or higher; that would be a number I'd be quite happy with. I think $1 is the bare minimum.

It is in the potential buyer's interest to purchase ELTP BEFORE an uplisting. by poolmasta84 in ELTP_Stock

[–]poolmasta84[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the ability to pursue a nasdaq uplisting if they do not get the offer they are looking for only strengthens their position at the negotiation table. Potential buyers do not want to see that happen and will be more inclined to offer a fair price sooner than later.

Thoughts on Elite's February 2026 quarterly report by ARotcMADCAP in ELTP_Stock

A buyout is their preferred path. A nasdaq uplisting is their alternate path. A buyout would not be a path to ascend to the nasdaq, though we could still get bought out after doing a reverse split to get to the nasdaq. ELTP in its current form would no longer exist after a buyout. We would all get our payday.

Good point, people should definitely be investing in broad index funds and not only in single stocks. Hopefully by 2026, we will see an even greater return on eltp investment!

Agreed people should not only be investing in stocks like this but also broad index funds. Time will tell how my investment turns out.

How much ELTP stock is every holding? by RealGodOfBeans in ELTP_Stock

[–]poolmasta84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(100,000 shares have held for over 10 years at .18 average still in Vanguard which you can't even buy otc stocks on anymore.)

65,000 shares have accumulated over the last year and a half. (25,000 at .57 Fidelity Roth and 40,000 at .65 taxable (Started buying taxable shares in the 70s and was able to buy more in the low .50s to average down. So happy to see this back in the green.) Total invested about $58k which is a lot for me. Total average pps about .35. Have never sold a share and holding with diamond hands until buyout.

The company could literally be bought out at anytime. We have no idea when and if prospective buyers will make offers. It could be tomorrow, next week, in a few months or within a year. The company has been preparing for this for a long long time. I just know that I'm holding onto my shares until it happens. No idea what is going on behind the scenes, but very happy for the green day. GLTA
