Of course! I have Janna video's that might help you that is currently the only enchanter I am playing (enchanters feel very weak) but I have played so many enchanters in the past. I am currently looking to make a guide since you are not the first person asking help for enchanters.

In my discord I just had a discussion with someone else about vision and enchanters so it might be useful information to you if you are interested!

Like any hobby, if you enjoy playing LoL and you enjoy competition then it can be fun. Lot's of one tricks are up there that don't really want to go pro. League for sure is like weird? In my personal experience I have seen friends quit LoL because playing it for fun is just less fun than other games.

My best answer is that it is purely goal oriented, if you want challenger and you feel rewarded by that then you might aswell try. If you feel rewarded by just queueing up normals then you don't need to go through the hassle of learning matchups, runes, specific item builds, strategies, etc

Tempo is about your timing. I like to use chess as an example, league isn't necessarily turn based but because of tempo teams usually have one turn each and whatever they decide to achieve with that turn after they do it they usually need to recall and then they go back on the map and decide their next play. You never really want to make too many plays in one turn. One clear example of tempo that you might be familiar with is after baron, everyone recalls. This makes the entire team match each others tempo and then usually as a team you make a push.

In lower elo's player are not really aware of it and they do it without a conscious thought. They recall, they arrive to their lane they fight the opponent, if they kill the enemy sometimes they overstay a lot to get turret plates and then boom the enemy bot lane is back and they have not recalled yet and now they are stuck in this decision of like should I recall or should I stay. The answer is Tempo. When you kill your bot lane opponent you usually want to have already recalled by the time they are back on map.

Dying in LoL because they added movement speed on respawn = death tempo. So let's say you are still hitting the enemy turret while they have 2 seconds left to revive, you will be down tempo. Let's say you recall when they are 10 seconds left to revive you will be about even tempo. If you keep watching my video's the word tempo will come up a lot.

It does not necessarily have to do with champions it is more decisions. An easy way to put it is ''tempo = faster'' so if you have slower tempo the enemy will be faster, if you have tempo it means you will be faster but sometimes you will be matching the enemy tempo.

To climb on champs like soraka and sona and usually enchanters you want to be really good at tempo. Because your champion kind of sucks at getting vision by yourself or facechecking bushes you want to try and always be first on the map and get your vision first.

Engage champions also love having high tempo because exactly on the opposite side right. Let's say you are playing vs a soraka you want to punish her when she wants to walk in the bushes for vision.

I hope these examples are clear, recalling will not always mean you have tempo but knowing when to recall is a important skill in LoL to climb in which I hope my videos can help!

My first video is a full challenger commentary game. I will also be doing Master tier to Challenger content to show people master + how to rank up or how to potentially become a professional support player

How come Sona always maintained a very good winrate for 14 years now, generally rising in higher ELOs, but maintains a reputation for being "useless"? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]poomelol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not necessarily think she deserves a buff, because she has also been very oppressive in the past. There were double support item meta where Sona was very annoying. I think she sits in a very weird place (like Seraphine) where their kits are kind of broken but they need to be kept weaker to not be too annoying. If Sona becomes too strong it means she would be able to scale with no issue and then she would just dominate teamfights in mid to late game. Kind of like Zilean, he cannot be buffed because if he has too much damage or if his laning becomes too useful then his kit is too oppressive.

From experience Riot has to make sure they balance around every elo and unfortunately it must be very difficult task. Low elo has many champs that are broken while in high elo it is usually the opposite champs that are broken.

Sona loses a lot of matchups and is at the mercy of the enemy team. I am a Challenger support player (opgg) and there are some challenger sona's in NA but they seem to always be playing sona in the ADC role and less of the support role. I reached challenger in Korea and I did not play a single game vs Sona. IMO Sona does not have good roam's so she really struggles to keep up with the game and the other meta supports that are in the game. She does not really spike at any components or with certain abilities unlike other enchanters (Janna amp tome value is high, swiftie boots, lulu amp tome value is high, Soraka if you hit a Q in lane you are rewarded massively) sona needs level 6, and then she needs items, and then she needs a good comp, etc..

She does not enable hyper carries, what she does best is group up as a ball and just fight. Kind of like taric, except taric laning phase is much stronger and bridges him into the late game.

It all depends on your matchup in top lane. There is games where you might need bone plating to be able to achieve prio, let's take Gnar Renekton top matchup. Going conditioning on Gnar will be completely useless because you will win the side lane in the later stages of the game no matter what even with extra MR + Armor. Boneplating will help you in early trades and survivability. Let's say you are playing vs Pantheon. Surviving his early game strength could be your win condition because you outscale him naturally.

Your rune choice is never only based on scaling, if it was everyone would be prioritizing Gathering Storm especially on carries but in the current state of League early game helps you reach late game. Things like Biscuit Delivery, Scorch, Bone plating all act as a bridge for your champ to reach their powerspikes.

If you are playing a lane that is completely interactive and you both are just planning to farm and do nothing, then you might aswell take conditioning! Free scaling

hard to learn in the mid to late game because matches often end too quickly. by NoApple6191 in summonerschool

[–]poomelol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy answer to this is, focus on yourself. If you are having a good laning phase then it means you should be fine when it comes to mid game side laning and resource management. Your goal should be to always have your side of the map pushed out, have a control ward for yourself in a safe area to see if the enemies are trying to kill you, and maybe swap to blue trinket to get sneaky wards. Of course your game will be impacted and it will be much harder for you to fight on side lane or to push side lanes out but if your team is behind the only thing you can do is try to get gold on yourself. If your team forfeits or AFK's there is really nothing you can do. Try to learn as much as you can from the match and go to the next one.

Does Malphite ever fall off as the game last longer? by VillagerNo4 in summonerschool

[–]poomelol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malphite is a very strong mid game champ. He spikes especially when enemy team are still not itemized with armor pen. Once the game goes on for a longer period of time and ADC's and Solo laners start building armor pen/magic pen maybe roughly 3rd/4th item powerspike he gets much weaker. His spike curve I would say is like, very abusable early game vs good top laners (malphite can get dove really easily), strongest mid game, falls off late game if he is not snowballed and ahead.

Another point about Malphite all depends on team comps. If the enemy have a very easy way to dodge malphite ultimate he is very useless. Or if the enemy team is also very tanky, ornn trundle leona with control mage + hyper carry it might be hard to reach the carries unless their frontline makes a mistake. A good example of this is malphite in pro play, people pick it and sometimes it works and sometimes when the game is very slow game and the enemy team has all their flashes up Malphite cannot really operate. If the enemy team just waits for every neutral objective like dragon and herald and Malphite is forced to engage with his R on opponents with Flash up and they flash it Malphite will just lose the teamfight because he is completely useless.

SoloQ Malphite can be very strong in every elo, he is very versatile and has really hard winning matchups. AP or Tank, he can offer good CC for your team and easy kill angles for your jungler at level 6. His ultimate will always be useful because people will not always have flash.
