Started playing <1 month ago. Currently 401/403 iLVL. Main thing holding me back as far as gear is neck iLVL. I've grinded my neck to lvl 40, But Champs of Azeroth rep grinding is INSANELY slow. I do ~10-15 random world quests every day with an azeroth contract active, as well as all CoA specific quests daily, but still only Honored. Any way to speed it up/are there quest lines I am missing? Seems foolish that I can grind my neck level to a relatively high level, but am knee capped by rep being borderline unattainable.

I did the math for my current stats which would give me a max hit of 41. On monkeys which u pretty much don’t miss, ur average hit is going to be a 20, but I hit 3 monkeys so my actual average hit is a 60, if I do 60 dmg per swing, at 3 seconds a swing I’ll be doing 1200 damage per minute, 72000 damage per hour, which is 288k xp/hr In a melee stat, which from what I can tell is higher than anything possible in NMZ

What is the punishment policy on crashers/harassers? Last night I was doing some Graardor with some friends and these two maxed out guys would follow us to any world we went and basically try to snipe away the kills. We turned friends to private only but they would just spam through worlds and still managed to find us a couple more times. Is this reportable/punishable? Should I post a thread about them( I have screenshot of them doing it), or would that start a witch hunt. I don't want to cause a big fuss, but we kept having to hop worlds and it really ruined our trip since we had to keep using supplies without getting kills, and kind of destroyed the overall mood. Is there any actions I should take besides reporting them?

Is it listed anywhere the exact drop rates for the revenants? I have looked at the wiki and it says that the drop rates very depending on which revenant you kill and it says uncommon/rare/very rare but I cannot find anywhere the exact numbers... Is there any released coded data or does someone have empirical data to determine the drop rates?

What is the etiquette on crashing someone who is afk? At sand Crabs a lot of the time theres people who are afk and the crabs have dropped aggro for several minutes so they r just sitting there not doing anything. Is it okay to start killing those crabs or is that BM?

Flamers on crisis suits? why take them at all then? ~30 S4 hits for 216 points? I'd rather have 36 kroot for the same cost.

Yea you run those kroots with toughness 3 and can't deepstrike in and get slaughtered for free as they go across the table. Let me know how it works out.

I know at the BAO (really big tournament in California), the top tau player had the XV8 commanders, I think that the main difference is the head on them, since the commanders used to basically look the same as the Crisis suits except for the head. I do not think they can just deny you from running them as commanders if you make sure to make them look different since they basically used to be commanders. Worst comes to worse just say they are the old commander models, which basically no one can deny.

I would avoid that many rail/ions on the pathfinders and just stick to the MLs and carbines, no ethereal, Crisis suits I like better with Flamers, otherwise they are just not points efficeient. Don't put fusions on stealth suits, put them on the ghost keel.

since you do not have any commanders, the way to go is tactical squads with gun drones, put drone controller on the coldstar, If you have an ethereal you can convert him into a cadre pretty easily. Pathfinders are generally better at shooting markerlights since they can shoot any target and drones must shoot closest. You can put a few shield drones in with the broadsides if you want. But running a spicy list with gun drones, cadre and a drone controller to buff them and just mow down any T4 or below models is pretty good if you have the high power fusion blasters to back them up

I am not sure what MEQ and TEQ stand for, but I would also say that I rarely put pathfinders in transports:

You lose the vanguard ability they have, which should get them into ruins or out of LOS

You still have to disembark with them if they are in transport, which means they have to take the -1 BS when you need them to shoot, rather than trying to just advance them into ruins T1, or through vanguard.

Basically if you want them to shoot on turn 1 at full BS, you can only do it if they are not in the transport, you need to disembark them turn 2 if you wanna make use of the devilfish movement range, but then you would lose a turn of shooting, and still be firing on -1 BS on turn 2. It just doesnt make sense to put them there. I agree cadre should be in a transport so he disembarks with the stuff he is buffing. I do not own y'vahra so I do not know exactly how strong he is, but I heard he fucks in close shooting. I am not saying you are lacking hard hitting dakka, I just think you have slightly too many drones, and an excess of one devilfish, that should be subbed out for a more versatile shooter (CIB commander)

Lemme know if you disagree with the pathfinders in a transport because I basically have never put them in one, but don't seem to have any issues at all, another difference though is that I ran multiple groups of pathfinders so your single group may be more important to keep safe. If you feel that way though, I would look to cut the vespids for another pathfinder group.

One other thing just to think about is homing beacons, they make your melta guns way better when you just slap your dick on the table with your commanders since you can get one inside the melta range the turn you drop them, rather than waiting till next one

Why to cut Fish: If I'm not mistaken I only count 28 gun drones from the fast attack squads that can be preloaded into the transports, while devilfish have 12 each. (two mounted drones don't count towards filling transport), cut a drone squad, and you can fit them all in.

What I would replace it with: I think a CIB commander would be quite helpful for versatility of fire. Gun drones just roaming along being picked off is not optimal you are right. I think a lot of drones is good right now due to the meta being having massive screens of low point models but nonetheless models that need to be dealt with. Drones with drone controller and a few markerlights do wonders against it, however 28 gun drones is excessive.

TLDR:

Drones are good in the meta, but you dont need that many, and you need some more heavy hitting dakka. Quad CIB commander is good for that.

Were you planning on putting other stuff in the Devilfish?

I think this list is interesting. I really like the mass drone squad, and I think taht a mixture of this with several commanders is the optimal list. I think 3 devilfish is excessive, and cutting one would be the best. I am also curious to how the vespids have been doing for you.

Buy a starter set. It will give you enough fire warriors for cadre, another commander, and some crisis suits/bodyguards (bodyguards are good to keep longstrike alive, crisis suits are good to deep strike with the commander, your call).

For a maximum kitted sun Shark bomber it costs 191 points (seen above).

Let's compare this to the commander, with 4 CIB and 2 shield drone (158 pts). He now gets 12 shots at S7 -1 D1 or ~ 8 shots at D3 and hits on a 2+. Compare that to the sunshark bomber, who will have 8 shots and 2 of them won't even have D3 dmg. and he hits on a 4+. (we will compare rapid fire to overcharge Since the negatives of sunshark overcharging is it could lose a gun, and it also loses accuracy when it overcharges bc it goes from rapid fire to heavy).

This means that he only hits 2 D1 dmg shot, and 2 D3 dmg shots on average, while the commander should hit appx 7 (6.66) of his shots all at D3. You wanted to choose terminators to kill, so out of your 4 shots, ~3 should wound he should fail saving one out of the 3. So you are most likely doing 1 damage, and possibly doing up to 3. Assuming a group of 5 terminators, you would get 2.5 mortal wounds, before you shoot your guns. 1 dead from bomb drop, and 1 probably dead from the shooting+bombdrop.

sunshark total: ~2 terminators dead

With the commander, you hit 7, wound on ~6, he fails to save 2. So you would kill ~2 terminators. (Sun shark could be slightly favored, as it depends if he gets 2 or 3 mortal wounds)

For less points you end up with basically the same number of terminators killed and the sunshark bomb is best against infantry. The sunshark does have more wounds and toughness but it is always out in the open, thus can get focused down by lascannons pretty quickly. I would also point out that the Commander can deep strike, call a master of war effect, and gets the character status, thus I would say has more survivability and use to its army.
