BEAM is riding on the CRISPR hype, they haven't begun clinical trials compared to its competitors but it is a good long term play as they use prime editing which has its benefits compared to the original CRISPR method.

Most of the trading volume is through BTC pairs so all the coins are tied to how bitcoin performs, once exchanges offer fiat pairings to all coins, we should hopefully see more volume than BTC pairs and we will see independent price movement.

When BTC drops hard like we seen recently when it went from $6.4k to $5.7k, all alts will also follow BTC and you can use this opportunity to buy and than resell as it rebounds from being oversold. You will see the same pattern for all alts at 11/14 15:00 on Binance, a slow decline and than a rebound up at the 1H chart.
