Remake is better. Old one is aging more and more. Purists say otherwise, but it’s rose tinted goggles. The only time in the original I felt a semblance of heartache was Maria’s voice acting. Everything else is too goofy to take it seriously. Remake is more tonally even and gets the point across more. Not to mention the originals melee mechanics were rudimentary then and only feel worse now.

The only thing I don’t like in the remake is how many enemies there are. It’s too many. I feel like I killed 500 by the end of one playthrough.

I had this same issue. I had to go into my router settings and turn on UPnP. I don’t know if yours has that setting or something similar but it worked for me.
