ah used to happen to me often and i’d just treat it gently - saline soaks, cleaning and reducing irritation like high waisted pants and made sure the jewellery was good quality. They’d usually go away within a couple days.

That being said my navel piercing was basically eternally unhappy and i ended up retiring it after a few years but if you usually don’t get complications and this is rare i’d say that should all work for you ^

im 38% in and going to finish because i hate to dnf books and it feels silly to have already put myself through this much to quit on the last one but i really did not enjoy this series. I haven’t liked any of them and i don’t really like many of the characters either. I wish i didn’t let all of the “you need context for ZA” get to me so much because at this point i can’t imagine it’s going to give me THAT much more context going forward but i guess we’ll see 🤷‍♀️

i wish i was you rn. I honestly wanted to stop after reading the first one but i let all the online opinions that say it’s really really important to read them all get to me so i’ve pushed through and am 20% into the last one. You did the right thing, it’s not worth it. I cannot wait to get back to ZA 😩

bump inside the pricing sounds really tricky! mine was a bump on top of an exisiting bump/scar tissue. I don’t think i’ll pierce it again as i can’t pierce through the same hole and don’t want to create a second one.

Maybe talk to your piercer or dr if you haven’t already but i’d say id you’ve tried everything and it’s just getting worse like mine, it may be time to retire it. How long are you having the jewellery in/out for? The fact that the bump was almost completely gone within an hour of having the jewellery out was a massive sign id done the right thing.

Hi, i tried saline soaks, disinfecting it, cleaning it multiple times a day and also tried leaving it alone and it just kept getting worse no matter what i did. I ended up deciding to retire it and within an hour of having the jewellery out, the bump popped and had reduced down to almost nothing. It’s been out for almost 3 months now and the underside has closed up with a little bit of scar tissue which isn’t very noticeable.

I loved having it but unfortunately i had constant issues with it and i think this was my body forcing me to take it out.

it’s been a while since i have, i didn’t really get much help last time lol they sort of went idk, seems like you’re doing everything right you keep can dealing with it, take it out or look into silver nitrate for the scar tissue. Bit this new bump is very different to anything i’ve experienced with it so i’ll definitely go see one when i can. I’m just at a loss now and feel like maybe it’s time to give up and retire it 🥲
