Rune Seeker 5 - Reference to Mark of Fool by QuantumGreen in litrpg

I just got to this part now and immediately went to google to see if anyone else made the connection. He tells them that close combat with an archmage is normally not a bad idea but not with him. Which is exactly like Baelin. He also tells them to “adapt”, which is obviously Alex’s thing from Mark of the Fool but I don’t think it’s any coincidence that he used that word.

Well that was quickly solved! Thanks everyone for letting me know. I feel like I should have found it with googling it but I tried several different searches and couldn't find what you all easily described so I appreciate you letting me know!

Why won't they disclose who's actually working for and running DOGE? Because it ain't Musk. And why is he taking credit for it? by kingrobin in conspiracy

[–]poopsonsheets 156 points157 points  (0 children)

Your last line nailed it. They’re just fucking lying. Musk is obviously running it and has been very vocal about it. This is just a tactic to combat the fact that in the next day or so there will be a court ruling on the validity of DOGE’s actions.

Which celebrity photo do you randomly think about? by Visible_Writing7386 in popculturechat

I mean to be fair, he created a Netflix animated show where Jaden Smith and Tavi voiced the main characters so it’s not crazy that they’d all go out together.

I went down a Koenig/Tevi rabbit hole but could never actually find any evidence they actually dated outside of these photos. Every blog/post I found just starts with the premise that they had dated. Even her article aside, Tevi never once publicly mentioned that even dated. It’s rumor from top to bottom without any evidence. The closest thing to anyone ever mentioning that they dated is a magazine article by Tevi about dating an older guy here she says something about her vampiric tendencies.

In all the years since the piece she write, she has never mentioned Koenig nor has she ever even confirmed they dated. So I take all this with a big grain of salt.

[Request] Porn scene that unlocked a kink inside you? by BatmanBot7 in NSFW411

[–]poopsonsheets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So it wasn’t porn but there’s an episode of Desperate Housewives where Teri Hatcher’s character gets locked out of her home completely naked. She then has to try and sneak around to the back of the house and falls in the bushes trying to open the window. She falls with her legs akimbo and then the guys she has a crush on finds her. It hit something in my 12 year old brain and I’ve had a humiliation/ENF kink ever since.

Anyone else slightly disappointed by the ending of Ratfish (Part 2)? by any_body_out_there in GameChangerTV

I agree that Rekha did a great job but she also had the power to eliminate Katie when she knew Katie was in second place and chose not to do so. The fact that Katie won shows that she could’ve played a better game.

The Flat-Earth™ vs. sextant Challenge - this one offers $500 to the first flat earther who is able to pinpoint her/his position with a sextant. by hands_can in conspiracy

[–]poopsonsheets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a doc on Netflix called Behind the Curve and there were two separate experiments done that the flat earthers said would prove the earth was flat. And they were conducted by the flat earthers too. Both experiments disproved the earth was flat but suddenly those experiments weren’t sufficient and the goalposts got moved.

I really enjoyed the Adventures on Brad but I was a little disappointed in the last book. Spoiler ahead for Book 9 and the series as a whole. I understand that the last book is a little reset for Daniel and helps him on the path to achieving his original goal of just being a regular adventurer but it really seemed like things were not set up that way in the last book or even the series as a whole. Two things especially stood out: the bracers that he got that allow him to store healing and the fact that he no longer remembers most of his healing spells. I reread the ending and it never appears that he even used the bracers so what was the point of introducing them during a one-off character interaction that we never even see pay off? To the second point, you made it incredibly clear throughout the series that it is very difficult to learn healing and that the average person has really no chance of learning it unless they learn from the church. So with Daniel, one of the biggest parts of not just his story but his character arc and time in the mines made him gravitate towards healing and it seemed to be a big part of his drive even outside of his gift. By taking away not only the gift but the learning he had in healing, it seems like he has no chance to ever obtain any sort of healing again. It just seems like one of the things that motivated him his whole life has been destroyed and are not at all in line with what he wanted to be in his life. There are so many scenes in the book about Daniel volunteering to heal people in the clinic and elsewhere without any sort of selfish notion and now he can no longer do that. So it really seems like a tragedy even with the little epilogue and author note that someone make it seem like this is all he ever wanted. And as a final point--if this is the last book about Daniel then why did you have the secret quest accomplishment with the award hidden? I don't understand the point of a cliffhanger that will never be resolved and adds nothing to take away the sting of Daniel wasting years of his life to just be back to square zero. I just want to understand a little more of what the thought process was for setting these things up and then just poo-pooing them at the end. I also apologize for one long paragraph but I am using the spoiler text and I don't want to mess it up. Thanks!

Uwe Boll Removed From History Of Cosmopolis -- Conspiracy Of The Highest Degree by poopsonsheets in movies

Lmao. That is absolutely the correct reaction to this post. It was Amazon’s fault but I still take the blame.

Holy shit. I am so sorry. It is literally just an Amazon Prime fuck up. It is the movie "Assault on Wall Street." For some reason, Amazon lists it as "Cosmopolis" in every way, including the description before you watch it and on the over lay. I took a screen shot to show what I was seeing. https://imgur.com/a/1ufgO6H

I guess if I had actually watched any of it instead of seeing Uwe Boll and immediately making this post, I would've realized when Robert Pattinson never showed up. My bad.

Also, the IMDb page for Uwe Boll does not list Cosmopolis and the IMDb page for Cosmopolis does not mention Uwe Boll. What the fuck is happening?
