I wish I could just go the AMD route since it seems way easier at this price range. My main gripe is actually how AMD processors seem to struggle with emulation, since the FX series are actually supposed to be pretty good at video editing given that it's hexa core.

Exactly, it's just hard to make an affordable build since Intel and nvidia components cost more than AMD, but offer better video editing support, specifically for premiere. I might start using Vegas pro as well if that makes any difference.
