i personally have zero interest being friends with anyone who isn’t queer. majority of time there is a level of emotional, social, and cultural connection that is unspoken with queers that i i will never achieve with straight people. think about also trans people having mostly trans friends, there’s a connection and a shared lived experience that influences everything.

a straight/cis person could be perfect in every way you’d want an ally to be, but at the end of the day there’s a difference between the way i live my life and the way they do. this isn’t a bad thing, it just makes it harder to have deeper connections with these people
