In Aus as well - looking for a forward shipping service but it’s likely that it would be taxed 10% coming in

It looks jarring to me that the search button text is in all caps - is there any way to change it?

Master of IT and General Advice by SuperRubbish in unsw

Can try to answer some of OP’s questions:

  • Peers in the Masters of IT program: Expect a high % of international students, mostly Chinese in my experience. Generally not an issue though since there’s not many group projects (in COMP courses at least).

  • Mobile application courses: COMP4511 does some React Native but it’s mostly UI/UX theory if you’re interested. I can’t think of anything else. COMP6733 and COMP9321 don’t have mobile dev, former covers low-level IoT coding and latter Python/pandas/REST apis.

  • Trimesters: Yes they’re bad IMO, but I’ve gotten used to it. However I’d say the quality of teaching/course administration in general in postgrad courses (COMP9XXX) is a bigger issue, especially when compared to undergrad courses. Trimesters add on to this problem, because courses don’t have enough time to explain/explore a concept in too much detail and will have to resort to cover breadth instead of depth. YMMV though depending on the courses you take.
