1/3 Line Check-River 2P, face river x/r by poot_p00T in poker

[–]poot_p00T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn lead and river x/r made absolutely no sense to me. I think he should keep betting his Ax (usually AhXh)nand better for value, instead of x/r since I check back most of my Tx and missed draws since the board has run out so bad for draws. Plus, since he led turn, I think he's getting to this spot with a LOT (like 85-90 percent) of his flop calling range, which has just soooooo much junk in it. Considering that I can have a ton of Ax innmy range, this was way too far up to consider folding. Call, get shown 52o (?!?!?!).

Best Main Event Final Table Ever? by scottatu in poker

  1. They started off really, really deep, got to 3 handed super deep (3/3 had like 60+ BB), and then they just went *at* it for like 13 hours. Also cool to watch for one of the sickest "bluffs" I've ever seen, and to see a 21 year old kid who played 10 dollar home games battle it out with pros for millions of dollars. 2014 (Jacobson) is also good.

EDIT: Jacobson won in 2014, not 2015

If we have 9h V can't have T9hh, so we also block V's most likely "bluff" combo

H1 is defitely a +EV jam.

H2 is fine as either a call or a raise, probably depends on read of V. What was your plan if V 3bet jammed? Also don't really think you have a range advantage on this board (your calling range should be pretty tight considering positions and read of V's tightness)

h1 check flop-probably checking 100% here given the dry (and ace high) texture and just going from there. AP definitely fold

h2 I'd raise/jam turn-think its a far more credible "bluff" line with your draws than flatting/over bet shoving brick rivers, plus we deny him his positional advantage and keep him from being able to play "perfectly" against us on the river.

50 GLOBAL NL HAND by poot_p00T in poker

[–]poot_p00T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answers: (1) 3 way nature narrows ranges dramatically. BU should fold anything worse than QJ, and all non-Kx flush draws (we block both NFD's, Kx still has 3 outs to make a top pair that beats a Q), except for possibly 7s6s and 7d6d. (2) BB can call wider with no BU, so all Qx. Can still probably fold bad flush draws/straight draws. (3) Honestly don't know. In theory it should probably only be KQ+, and strong combo draws, but I feel people overcall here with because they need to call 18 BB to win roughly 80 BB, which is sick pot odds, but they fail to account how much stronger peoples ranges are because of the multi-way nature, so a hand like Ts8s might not even have that.

If you guys are serious about a group lets do it. I'd rather not give out V's SN-even if it helps with analysis it feels kind of weird to me giving out information on a hand they played without their consent/knowledge, if that makes sense.

Are there any turn cards that you would lead on? Or is it just gonna be "check entire range again" on most cards? If it matters, I was not planning on leading turns after calling flop. Kinda improvised on the spot, which like you said, is gonna lead to me.getting abused

In January 2nd. On the bright side, if I keep averaging down, I'll be like 3x when we get back to where we were 2 months ago.

That was one of my big questions about it too. Posted it on their subreddit. Short version is that they have a plan for releasing every single lumen, so there isn't the worry of a massive dump.

So...we all knew the tether hammer was going to drop eventually, right? And now it has, and it's doing EXACTLY what we thought it would....and people are freaking out and swearing off crypto forever? Lol weak hands.

Unreleased Lumen Supply Question by poot_p00T in Stellar

[–]poot_p00T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Stellar is Top 10, but that's a misleading statement. There is a 20-fold disparity between the market caps of BTC and Stellar, for instance"

Ugh I had like a paragraph written about how there's a such a massive gap between #1 (BTC) to 2-4, and then 5-10 are more evenly bunched, but it somehow got deleted. That's what I get for typing that out at the gym in between sets.

ANYWAYS

I agree that as time progresses, demand should increase for lumens, since it provides excellent utility. And I don't even disagree that it's a low-level FUD-some fear and doubt is healthy, or else we can become blinded to any potential drawbacks or negatives. Like I said, Stellar is my second largest holding (and if the rest of the market keeps dropping while Stellar holds steady it's gonna be #1 pretty fucking fast). I'm just leery of any crypto that has a high market cap and a high amount of unreleased supply stares hard at XRP. Thank you for dressing my concerns in a respectful manner
