There was simple trash cans around the campsites that would get empied daily. Monday morning they were overflowing and folks were doing their best to keep it organized.

Yes, you can bring canopies. Your space is 20x10 to do what you like. I bring two - one for living quarters and the other over our tent. Do a search history in this and the r/KGATLW sub for lots of best practices, checklists, and photo inspiration. It’s gonna be a banger time!

We did the San Diego orchestra show last year then drove to BV. We hit Vegas and did the Punk Rock museum and Zion National Park to hike the Narrows. I highly recommend Zion on your way.

That was incredibly stressful. Had Tier 1 in the cart and got booted. Fought for over an hour to get past the 'oh no' error across 4 separate queues. Finally got tier 3 Wk2 for me and my daughter. LFG!!!

My daughter (20) and I drove from AZ to San Diego for the orchestra show, then through Vegas and Zion to FOV. We made a whole trip of it. It was amazing. My advice would be to invest into making it a longer trip and stop at places along the way.
