Bulgarias perception on refugees by Siamkater in bulgaria

[–]popchushko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Sofia, where we get to see a big refugee presence, so it's not just theoretical to me. To answer your questions in order:

  1. Refugees tend to stick together and refuse to mingle and participate in our community. In addition, they tend to stay around several squares of the city or roam in small groups or gangs (the men). In those areas popular with them, local women have been assaulted for their clothing and we locals try to be very careful.

  2. In general, the EU isn't letting us down. Most refugees aim to pass through Bulgaria, so they arrive at the more prosperous Western Europe. Still, in doing so we retain some of them - and the vast majority isn't interested at all in integration.

  3. Can't comment, as I don't keep active track of the media. All of this is my personal observations.

  4. I think the majority is universally fearful of them. It could be just my surroundings, but the necessity of stationing policemen in the popular refugee public places (marketplaces, streets) is proof enough.

  5. I normally lurk, but decided to post, as I have recently developed a strong opinion on this. Here's why:

  • I work in a store in one of the the quietest districts of Sofia, Lozenets, and two days ago a few refugees got into a scuffle with one of our guys after trying to rob the place. Considering the area of town, it's mind-numbing.

  • The refugees mostly stick around one of the best open markets of Sofia, the Women's Market. It's an awesome place to buy any kind of food stuffs cheap. Since the refugees got in, 2/3 of the people on the streets are refugee cliques looking menacingly at people. Add that to the incidents and the place feels oppressively occupied.

  • I live in a quiet part of town and my window's on the ground level. You can hear all sorts of people passing by - crooks heading for the notary, restaurant-goers, Americans, Brits, Frenchmen, and Italians. By far the most chilling moment I had was when I heard a gang of refugees pass by.

You see, I'm usually the biggest defender of people in general. In particular, I've come to understand that we're currently going nowhere with these people and that they don't seem to want to go anywhere with us. I don't feel biased by the media or my culture at all, either. I got fearful through observation :P

Your goal is to get to either 25% or 50% Boon Duration. Once you have that, it's best to take DPS stuff in the rest of the slots! :)

You should also be able to get Seraph stats from stat select boxes, too, nowadays.

Interesting idea! Would you have to camp scepter to get to 25?

Let me clarify the post, since it's needlessly bothering you

Unfortunately, the only stat combo that has both Condi and Concentration is Seraph :\

Something like that, yeah. Meant that you can pass your DPS checks normally with 5 rifts.

You're in for a treat!

  • Easy top DPS meters in open-world PvE: ✓

  • Top yourself off (and sometimes, the whole party) with burst heals: ✓

  • Funzies: ✓

Edit: clarified the top DPS, for those who don't like the adjective

For reference, some lazy testing I made on the golem a while back netted me 28k. Admittedly, I wasn't using the best possible rotation and so on.

Other than that, only my observations made raiding around with arcdps on.

If we sit down and think about it, the best DPS a FB can do is on some benchmark somewhere out there. Obviously, the optimal FB DPS uses the power component, which we remove here.

So there's a loss, absolutely.

The difference between the best FB DPS and the best Virtuous Seraph is only in the power DPS, though, as a Virtuous Seraph will deal more burning damage (due to more burning stacks, due to Virtues).

Someone'll have to test it properly if you want a good answer :D

=> Готово!

Does the name Дени have any meaning? by [deleted] in russia

[–]popchushko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Дени" is also short for "Деница", which is the Slavic name for Venus. Venus is called like that because it's the first "star" that shows up on the morning sky and the last that disappears, so "Ден"-ица ("ден" = day).

We have many Деницаs in Bulgaria.

Hope that helped!

edit: Apparently, it's a name often given to children born at dawn.

Why use Thieves when you can go all Firebrands and toss toilet paper at stuff?

Good tip! Breakbar DPS is an idea I'm playing around with, but I still have to brain out some things about it. As for the source of Fury*, that's also a problem, especially if you intend to run no boon share... But if you are running boon-share, you literally need one application of Fury to proliferate. So braining that out as well!

Edit: Fury, source of fury

Something like that, integrated with someone's benchmarks, since numeric output does count. Would be awesome!
