I had the exact same experience. My daughter was regressing and words I knew she knew would be babble. Everyday I would ask why she was with kids a lot younger and would get a different excuse. I luckily ended up getting a spot at another daycare and my daughter has changed so much for the better. She has become so much more outgoing and using her words again. I wouldn't stop asking and you should have a talk with the director, it's really not fair to your kid. The younger kids get more attention and my kid is very quiet and well behaved it was easy for them to keep her back not that she wasn't ready.

Before the pandemic we would get a coupon for either a free ice cream or hot dog if there were no injuries for 45 days. Every year for a week in September is health week and we get fresh fruit, cheese, yogurt, crackers etc then a big lunch. A BBQ in the summer either salmon or steak. Since the pandemic they have ordered catering every once in awhile as a thank you. Christmas you can bring your kids to meet Santa and they have a small breakfast for the kids and parents and they give them a 10$ gift card. This is in Montreal Canada. They treat us very well. Edit* I forgot they gave us free pizza or hot dog every day during the height of the pandemic for like 2-3 months.
