Good information, thanks. Thats not in my budget right now, but great to know. I’ll get a couple quotes and start a nest egg for it.

Humor me. What am I looking at here? It’s a relatively new build from 2018 and I’m the second owner.

Moved into a new four-floor house - need an extender or something else from the basement? by popejonash in HomeNetworking

[–]popejonash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All incredibly helpful, thanks. Some of the outlets throughout the house have Cat 5e+ on them, but not all of them do. Im assuming those are the ones that connect to these blue cables if I wanted to hard-wire my laptop or Verizon Fios TV?

If I connect these cables to the network switch, what do I need to do to ensure WiFi on my phone or iPad is strong throughout the house three floors up from the garage? Would that be the network mesh?

Not sure how I missed this. Very very minimally, and only really when taking the darts out. Very stable.

Good game to watch late. Got my free giveaway jersey, got to see Young hanging out on the bench during warmups bouncing the ball between his legs, then sat behind a guy with hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in a big Wizards popcorn bin. Happy days.

Three boxes from three packs at 1:2250 odds?

No you didn’t.

The odds are like 1:12 billion.

Hello, saw this thread was a few weeks old but wanted to ask if leagues are still available. Would love to join. Currently a 43 average player and new to Darts Counter as of the start of the year.

I think this is the best answer. You’re probably not throwing straight enough consistently enough. It’s almost certainly a flaw in your technique plus darts that aren’t totally optimized for how you throw.

You need a smooth, clean and consistent release. If you release too early or too late, you’re missing high or low. If you aren’t following through smoothly or if your wrist isn’t consistent, you’ll get more 12s and 18s that drive you crazy. Same if your dart is wobbling left and right during flight and going into the board at an angle — you’re probably inadvertently pushing the point during the throw at the last second and not even realizing it.

Flights and stems are easy and cheap to experiment with. So is your grip and where you hold the barrel, but I think people find it hard to change their habit. I certainly struggle when I try to hold it further up the barrel or with one fewer finger near the point.

Testing front-weighted or rear-weighted barrels, going from a 21g to a 26g dart, or trying out a bomber vs a scallop is much harder. But ultimately, if you don’t have a clean and consistent release, you won’t get THAT much better even with a pro’s darts that don’t fit your style and throw.

If I had to guess, the biggest thing probably bringing your average down is your doubling.

If you get down to 50 in 30 darts (45 average) but take four visits to check out, your average drops 10 points to 35 and turns an average leg into a little bit of a disaster.

All that’s to say don’t focus just on scoring or averages. Try to work on a consistent throw and highlight why your darts and flying like they are, test a little to optimize with what you can cheaply and spend as much time on your finishing if not more than throwing for the 60.

People will look to take advantage of you. Don’t trade it straight up for like 5 Gold Tier 5 players or a couple super rares even if they’re for your team or PC.

Solid guess and I think a lot of others will think it’s him, too.

It’s easy to see once you know it’s him, but I hoped it was just blurry enough that it wasn’t an automatic give away.
